Hi Denise, everyone,

Everybody who can post to *this* list is also already signed up to post
to the Off Topic list. That's automatic. You just have to address your
message to the Off Topic list address listed in the footer of every
message from the Silver List.

The reason you've not gotten any mail from the OT list is probably
because it's been pretty quiet over there. There were 3 posts or so
yesterday, so you might just have missed them in the noise.

If you really are not subscribed to the e-mail version of the OT list
and want to be, the instructions are found on the Silver List web site
at: http://www.silverlist.org

You just have to click on the Off Topic List link and follow the
instructions there.

Next, you can keep tabs on the Off Topic list by visiting the archives
at eScribe at the URL included in the footer below. Of course, as I
mentioned previously, both of our archives are down at the moment and
waiting for Scott, the owner, to replace and restore the hard disk that
crashed. So, in another day or two things should be back to normal.

Lastly, as you all know a certain amount of OT stuff happens here
regardless. I'm not going to crunch you over the head for it, so long
as everyone takes care not to let the volume of get out of control.
Self restraint is the only governor that truly works.

Thank you everyone. You make the list a pleasure to administer, and
you're the reason this is a good place to come for life-saving and
health-improving information.

Be well,

South Africa Lodges Official Complaint With Codex Commission Exposing
Massive Corruption at Codex

Note: Post this alert, not the previous one sent today, the previous one
was cut off at the end and was not complete

IAHF List: Please read the complaint comments below from the South
African Codex Delegation to the Codex Committee on Food Labeling and to
the Committee on Nutrition and Foods For Special Dietary Uses.

The Complaint demands that Codex not finalize the draft guideline for
Nutrition and Health Claims which is currently at the final stage (step
8) in the process of acceptence.

In a nutshell- South Africa is demanding that health claims be allowed
to be made in the finalized standard under joint development by the
Codex committees on Food Labeling and the Committee on Nutrition for
foods and for dietary supplements because there is overwhelming
scientific evidence attesting to the fact that dietary supplements CAN
be used successfully in the treatment and prevention of numerous
diseases AND that this fact does NOT make them into drugs.

South Africa's complaint to Codex underscores what I've been telling the
public about CODEX since 1996 when I was the first to call it to global
attention- that a VAST GLOBAL SCREWING is in the works to destroy
consumer access to dietary supplements and to truthful health
information about them unless we all work together to OPPOSE IT on EVERY
LEVEL.

South Africa has lodged this complaint in the aftermath of being kicked
in the TEETH at the Codex meeting on Food Labeling in Montreal a few
weeks ago. If you missed my report on that, you'll find it on the IAHF
website at http://www.iahf.com/20040517.html

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
1) Forward this alert to more people and urge them to sign onto the IAHF
email distribution list for updates at http://www.iahf.com

2) If you need help connecting the dots on the Codex issue, see this
RED ALERT http://www.corsello.com/politics/politics_red_alerts.htm

3) Make a donation to the ANH lawsuit to overturn the EU Food Supplement
Directive at http://www.alliance-natural-health.org The ANH lawsuit is
KEY to monkeywrenching CODEX.
ANH CAN WIN with enough grass roots support.

4) Copy South Africa's Comments to Codex (Below) and email them to:
A) Your Countries Codex Delegates for the Codex Committees on Food
Labeling and the Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary
Uses.

Americans should email comments to robert.l...@cfsan.fda.gov and to

future email alert if you would rather send one I generate]

South Africa is concerned that a Draft Guideline is presented for

because of overwhelming scientific evidence that contradicts the message
of this section. Since Codex adopted the principle that Standards and
Guidelines should be based on scientific evidence, the above-mentioned
Guideline should not be adopted at Step 8 with this section still in
operation.

CSHelp in minimising scars

2004-06-14 Thread Trem
Hi Phinneas,

I think it was my post. Here it is.

Best regards,

Trem
---

Hi list,

Here's another use for iodine. I have Dupuytren's contracture and have been
painting potassium iodide (SSKI) on it for a while. SSKI is a saturated
solution of potassium iodide. The contracture is going down and I think
it's going to disappear. I was told by my doctor the only fix was to have
surgery. WRONG ! I started the SSKI before my finger began pulling down.
I had the problem for years but thought it was just a callus from turning a
screwdriver and rubbing/twisting the handle into my palm as I used it.
Following are excerpts concerning the use of SSKI.
It is quite long but has a lot of info. I will post it to the off topic
list.

Dupuytren's contracture and Peyronie's disease are two fibrotic
conditions that can be helped considerably by SSKI. In Dupuytren's
contracture, thickening (fibrosis) occurs along one of the tendons in the
palm in the hand, pulling the related finger down towards the palm. As the
problem progresses, the finger often can't be straightened any more.

In Peyronie's disease, a very similar thickening occurs along the shaft of
the penis, making erections increasing curved and painful. In both cases,
rubbing SSKI into the thickened tissue at least twice daily softens and
lessens the fibrotic area over a period of several months, allowing for more
normal function.

For these conditions, it's additionally helpful to take para_aminobenzoic
acid (PABA) 2 grams, three times daily, and to rub a mixture of Vitamin E
and DMSO into the thickened areas, also. However, if caught early, SSKI
alone will often do the job. (It's also advisable to have glucose_insulin
tolerance test done, as there's an unusually high incidence of insulin
resistance in people with Dupuytren's contracture or Peyronie's disease.

Keloids are abnormally thick scars, sometimes as much as an inch thick,
that can form after injury. Although anyone can get a keloid, they're more
common among blacks than other ethnic groups. Rubbing SSKI into a keloid at

least twice daily will ultimately flatten them down to a normal scar, but
it can take many months to a year for particularly bad ones. The treatment
goes faster if SSKI is mixed 50_50 with DMSO.

It has not been noted to break down healthy collagen, nor to remove

CS20 ppm CS

2004-06-14 Thread Marshall Dudley
I have a company that is wanting large quantities of 20 ppm CS. I make 5
ppm normally and have made 10 by making two passes through our machine. But
I don't think I can get 20 that way, the particle size simply gets way too
large.

Anyone have any good methods for making large quantites of 20 ppm CS? I
would like to be able to produce at least 3 or 4 gallons an hour. LVDC I
believe would be too slow. HVAC gets it too hot unless using multiple
passes.

Bob, you have played with underwater sputtering I think. How does that
work? How does the microwave HVDC work?

Thanks,

Marshall

This is the fastest cheapest thing I've ever seen for
poison ivy: TEA TREE OIL! It works because it is a
powerful solvent and dissolves the alkaloids.

An employee of mine got it so bad last year he was
going to be out of work for days. He was bleeding on
his legs from scratching, even after all the usual
treatments. TTO stopped it all in 5 minutes. In 18
hours he was well on the mend. It was all gone in 3
 days.

Downside: The smell, extremely aromatic, and tends to
get almost stinking after a few hours. Alternate with
DMSO after a few hours, and it's not as bad.

Re: CS20 ppm CS

2004-06-14 Thread William Meyer
the silver puppy material states that it makes 10 ppm in it's standard
set-up.

it shuts off by measuring electrical conductivity.
if you make a batch and wait overnite, the electrical conductivity
drops (i guess)
and re-running the 10 ppm batch results in 20 ppm before the unit shuts
down.
i tried it once and the silver ion taste was noticeably stronger after
second batch.

people say trem's sg-7 unit rock for larger batches.
the silver puppy rocks for smaller amounts for sure.
i used to own an sg-6 and never got down with it.
the silver puppy unit resonates with me.
in specific, the sg-6 unit was noisy, confused me with it's sequencing
of l.e.d.s,
rejected lots of distilled water (walgreen's too), and i found i was
equivocal about

tasting -or not tasting- the telltale mettalic taste of the silver ions.
the silver puppy has never confused me and i taste the silver readily.

Re: CSbladder infection

2004-06-14 Thread reglee
Hi Nancy

I have great success using cs for bladder infection.. especially in the initial
stage. Mybe your cs wasnt
made correctly? Unfortunately I dont know of any means to test it.. so I just
trust my supplier in WA.

It is difficult to get the CS to the bladder area, but d-Mannose is a great
product for curing and preventing future bladder infections without
 antibiotics

Many people say it's worked for them but the reverse flush [squeeze bulb]
seems to be the ideal method.
I've never heard of a woman doing it but a womans plumbing is similar
 with
the exception of the faucet shape.
