When ionic silver dries, it oxidizes into brownish to black silver oxide.
Hydrogen peroxide sometimes cuts it, otherwise, soft scrub.

It will most definitely stain a coffee filter, so yea, watch the sheets.
So long as it doesn't dry out, you're OK.

You didn't soak the mattress pad, did you?

Has anyone had a problem with CS staining anything? I have some brown
stains on my Corian-type (Surrell) bathroom countertop and in the white
sink. I was pouring some very strong CS into a spray bottle there a
few days before I noticed the stains. Nothing will take them off. I
can't think of anything else that could have caused them. I was
wondering if it ever stains fabrics? I sprayed the mattress pad,

CSConductivity Meter Question

2006-01-27 Thread Dan Nave
Just got a COM-100, EC/TDS/TEMP Combo Meter from SilverPuppy. Looks
like a real nice unit.

My question is, since it has 3 different scales apparently based on
different temperature compensation coefficients, which scale should I
use?

It appears that it is set on NaCl at this time.

By the way, my distilled water reads 1.3 to 1.4 uS. A quart batch run
overnight with magnetic stirring read 20.5 uS this morning. Light
tyndall with laser in incandescent room light and a slight haze visible
to the eye without the laser. I was not able to pull out the electrodes
immediately after the unit shut off since it occurred in the middle of
the night.

Re: CSLyme disease and CS

2006-01-27 Thread Marshall Dudley
First of all CS is very effective against the Lyme spirochete. If you
use it in the first few days after being bit, recovery should be rapid
and complete. However the spirochetes are very good at hiding, and will
hide in areas of the body that CS simply does not reach or reach well,
such as the brain, nerve ganglia, cartilage, bone and the lymph system.
Thus for many people who have had it for a long time it is necessary to
use complementary protocols to reach them in these areas. The protocol
most have reported with success here is the Bob Beck protocol, using
either his blood electrification or the Clark Zapper. This protocol is
CS, ozonated water, zapping/electrification and magnetic pulsing.

You may not be getting a herx because you are not taking enough. Can
you tell us what you are taking, what ppm, and how much. A quart or
more a day of 5 - 20 ppm would not be excessive as long as you don't get
too severe a herx.

Re: CSCS staining?

2006-01-27 Thread Marmar845
You could try using hydrogen peroxide to remove those stains -- also you
could try silver cleaner. MA

Re: CSCS staining?

2006-01-27 Thread Marshall Dudley
I believe that the staining is from two factors. The colloidal component
depositing pure silver particles, and the molecular ionic component
breaking down when it drys out reducing to metalic silver as well. If
it were simply silver oxide, that would be easy to remove with plain old
water since it has a solubility of about 13 ppm, and plain water does
not remove it. H2O2 however will convert metallic silver to silver
oxide/hydroxide, thus making it possible for it to dissolve and be
removed.

Silver cleaner is NOT a cleaner. It is a reducer, reducing compounds of
silver, normally silver sulfide, to silver again, so it redeposits on
the silverware. Thus if you use it on a stain that has some silver
oxide or sulfide left in it, it will convert the rest of the silver
oxide to metallic silver, making the stain worse, not better.

However that does bring up an interesting point. Silver stains on a
counter top could contain some silver sulfide (ordinary tarnish), if
there is any sulfur in the air (cooking eggs, using garlic, bathroom
door open), or any traces of a sulfur compound on the countertop. These
would not be effected by H2O2. So in that case using a silver polish
with an H2O2 chaser might be just the ticket to remove such stains.

Re: CSCS staining?

2006-01-27 Thread Marshall Dudley
I wonder how H2O2 with baking soda in it would work. The H2O2 converts the
metallic silver to sparingly soluble silver oxide (and back again), but as soon
as it is converted to silver oxide, the baking soda reacts with it making
silver carbonate, which is very soluble, and locks it in so it cannot be
converted back to silver metal by the
H2O2. I suspect that other things that will lock in the silver into a soluble
compound would work as well, including vinegar (acetic acid) and ammonia
(ammonium hydroxide), but the baking soda would certainly smell better.

This came from my son who supports networks and desktop applications at a
mortgage company

Emails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment
that you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to
fix it!

This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe, but mainly
in the US and Israel.

Don't be inconsiderate; send this warning to whomever you know.

If you get an email along the lines of Osama bin Laden Captured or Osama
Hanged don't open the attachment.

Confirmed at: http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/osamahanged.asp

Origins: There are few headlines that would grab the attention of more computer
users around the world than Osama bin Laden Captured, and that's exactly what
whoever created this lure was counting on to snare unsuspecting victims who use
Microsoft platforms.

Osama bin Laden Captured isn't a virus in itself; it's the text of a message
that includes a link to a file called EXPLOIT.EXE. When a message recipient
clicks on this link to view what he thinks are pictures of Osama bin Laden's
capture, he can end up downloading an executable Trojan known as Backdoor-AZU,
BKDR_LARSLP.A, Download.Trojan, TrojanProxy.Win32.Small.b,or Win32.Slarp.
Clicking the embedded link in the Osama bin Laden Captured message
auto-executes a file called EXPLOIT.EXE, which exploits a known security hole
to download the Trojan. According to McAfee Security:

The Trojan opens a random port on the victim's machine. It sends the Port
information to a webpage at IP address 66.139.77.145. The Trojan listens on the
open port for instructions and redirects traffic to other IP addresses.
Spammers and hackers can take advantage of compromised systems by using the
infected computer as a middleman, allowing them to pass information through it
and remain anonymous
