CS>vitamin a links and information?

2007-04-23 Thread Wendy

Hello. I know we've talked about vitamin A supplementation recently.
Does anyone have links or information on 'how much' we and our children
REALLY need or can handle (I mean other then the low end RDA!).

Or information on deficiencies etc. I have a holistic parenting group
and there is talk and questions about supplementing with it. I'd like to
research it before I offer my 2 cents, but all I have come up with seems
to be the standard RDA info. There has been some talk raised by one mom
of a 3 yr old asthmatic boy that the vitamin a in larger doses is
important for him when he has an attack, but at one point how does she
figure out how much is too much etc.??

Articles or links would be most helpful since unfortunately I can't dig
through the archives. ;-)

Warmly

Dee,

V8 is a vegetable juice cocktail consisting of 8 vegetables, mostly
tomato, carrot, and celery juices, I think...
It's not bad, tastes pretty good, and usually comes in a tin-can of some
sort.

The older TV commercials show someone slapping their forehead with the
palm of their hand saying, "I could have had a V8."

Lately there is a sort of parody of this commercial, but still put out
by the company. For instance, a lady looks into a baby carriage, or
pram, and is cooing to the baby. Suddenly a hand comes out and slaps
her on the forehead... It is actually pretty funny...

immediate "itch & tingle" that he used to notice a year ago. Just curious if I
should DO something with it (shake it?) or get rid of it? My other bottle of

time...weird.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks Katherine for being concerned. I know I should eat better but I do
consume nuts and seeds occasionally and I have some veggie in juice. Oh, I
also eat fruit. Amazingly enough, I do have a very good digestive system and
never get things like diarrhoea, indigestion, etc., unlike my husband who I
do cook meat and veg for! In fact, I have good health generally (touch
wood!) for someone of sixty four years, but it is just this weight thing
which I must get a grip on. I will certainly think about following your
advice. Dee PS being from the UK I didn't understand the V8 thing . To me,
this is a powerful car engine!

Hopefully they have fixed this, but I use to drink V8 almost every day.
Then Consumers Reports did a review of it and found a very high mold and
mold spore content for it and cautioned against drinking it, and I have
not drunk one since.

CS>OT Doris thyroid/iodine info

2007-04-23 Thread claire shaw
Doris (& anyone interested in this thread)
I saved posts on this thread to do research but they are now lost .
Did you or anyone else save these posts?

After solving many of my health issues with the help of this list it seems
likely my remaining problems are related to hyperthryroidism. What other
sites besides the Karmacleanse site (which has a lot of good info) do you
recommend?

Many thanks,
Claire

The list was ripping along for a few days, but yesterday was a light
one. I see only 10 messages Sunday.

That sort of variation is normal.

Be well,

Yes, there are pill formulas for man and his best friend however be sure to
clean before and as you go. It is not hard to kill cancer, it is getting out
of your body safely that is the key. You might also want to look into Karma
Cleanse http://www.iodinesource.com/Products.asp

Whatever way you heal just be sure to not push the proses and give the body
plenty of time and ways to release all those toxins.

Yes it certainly is fascinating Doris, but I'm a bit mystified. I am using
iodoral so do you think that this one is better? I was using Ludols and
still use it topically, but thought the iodoral was better balanced. Dee
