CSOT: Implants-materials/kinds/questions to ask

2010-08-22 Thread carolG
Hi all,
Maybe off topic...who knows. History of bad teeth, several crowns got loose
and
today another one popped out into mouth and holding it. If he can't put this
back in as it is always a challenge, here's questions:

Kind of safe implants
Questions to ask dentist
What materials are good vs. bad for implants?

This is ongoing problem-genetic vs. unhealthy eating.

Frustrating as my dentist doesn't want to act like a traveling dentist. Just
when I think all is cool and I won't see him for a while I am back.

Renee or others, please pitch in your wisdom? Garrett? All? Thanks.

Tooth regeneration is probably not too far in the future. . . .

I think titanium is the standard implant these days.

Hi Carol,
I had this problem and I told the dentist I didn't care if he used super glue I
didn't want them coming off again. He did what I asked and when I needed to
have a tooth removed we could not get the crown off. Another downside to loose
crowns is decay under them. Have you considered another dentist? If the tooth
wasn't properly prepared I have been told it affects the ability of the crown
to stay on and tight. I found another dentist and he is the one that put them
on *permanently*.

Oil Pulling and CS have helped me tremendously... including soaking
toothbrushes in CS between usings. I've asked the group but have not gotten an
answer as to how long the CS stays active when it is used like this.

Good luck.
Blessings,
PT

CS[List Owner] Mail outage...

2010-08-22 Thread M. G. Devour
Hi folks,

The mail has at least *started* flowing again after some hours of being
down.

I got at least one bounce message at another mail account indicating
that Eskimo's incoming mail servers were badly enough bolluxed up to
reject mail, so some of the messages you attempted to send during that
time may not have been accepted for delivery.

If you don't see a message you sent reflected back to you in the next
few hours, please re-send it.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to monitor and try to keep you all informed
what's going on.

Be well,

carol,

There are no safe implants. ALL dental procedures have risks... BIG ONES.
Every time you get an anesthetic injection you are risking a permanent
paresthesia/dysesthesia (nerve damage to the lingual or IAN nerve) that is
horrific... I suffer from lingual nerve damage so I know. The rest of my life
is one of pain and suffering... burning pain to be exact. Not something you
want if at all possible.

HI BOB,
Sorry to hear of your pain. I just met a vet last night at a Festival who I was
telling about my dog's lupus recovery. She told me she used to be in so much
pain in her back, I believe. She did acupuncture once, healed, and hooked. She
went on to help dogs using acupuncture. If you haven't tried, like anything
else in life--there are always good and bad practitioners.

I am running against options for my teeth. I have SEVERAL crowns which never
were a problem, but never wanted either. Weighed all options before a yes.

Now I have big spaces obvious for pictures and crowns were put in about 3 years
ago and some keep falling out. If dentist can't reglue I am running against
options. I know having more front spaces is not very inviting as I plan to go
out and meet people for business sake.
