It adjust voltage to maintain mill amp rating. I use silver maple leaf coins, I hang them from a piece of silver wire. I drill the coins and hang them on a S hook out of the silver wire. I have 2 silver coins that are about 2/3 gone, I just hung a new coin with the old. No matter how much your service area of silver it will always maintain 1 mill amp. I have a volt meter, it is interesting to watch how the voltage drops to limit current to 1 mill amp. I have 9 volt plug in power supply (at 400 mill amp). At no load it puts out almost 23 volts, at 1 mill amp it will put out about 21 or 22 volts. If you are looking for power supply look for 9 volts or higher with a 400 mill amp Rating or higher. Got my eye on a power supply for computer which is 30 volts DC at Over 1 amp. You can also but all different power supplies at Mouser Electronics. I have seen the volt ohm meters on sale at Harbor Freight for around $5. Bob Classification: UNCLASSIFIED Caveats: NONE smime.p7s Description: S/MIME cryptographic signature

Re: CSSpeaking of gels
I fail to see what ultra sound has to do with electrical conduction. Seems more likely that the gel is being used to interface and transmit the *sound* thus electrical conductivity won't matter at all...only viscosity and density and any fairly thick heavy gel will do the same thing. Be aware that ultrasonics of any real intensity will make small hard objects [like little bones ] very hot ...very quickly. CS gel will conduct electricity as will salt water gel depending on the concentration of substances [like salt] that will transport electrons via electrochemical ion exchange. Ode At 08:04 AM 10/15/2010 -0500, you wrote: My question is about the electrode conducting gels. I bought an ultrasonic handdeld device for working on my teeth (via outside the cheek) and haven't used it yet because it says to use a conducting gel with it. So I'm wondering if there's anything special about a conducting gel? I have Ode's gel making kit that I have not used yet. Will any gel work or do I need to buy gel made specifically for conduction? Will plain water do, or does it need the gel to keep the skin 'wet' because with water only it could dry out during a 10 to 20 minute use? Re: CSMaking CS at home
It is not difficult. Get a Silvergen or Silver Pupply, put distilled water in it, and plug it in. It is ready when the LED goes on (or off, depending on the model). If you want to go to the trouble of making it yourself, then start with 20 to 30 volts, and limit current to 1 mA per square inch of anode. Improved product is made by stirring, and reversing polarity every minute. When the voltage reaches some target value, it is ready. The lower the voltage the higher the ppm. CSnew thoughts on lipsomes encapsulation
I have been curious for a while why Livon Lab's liposomal C looks different from our homemade stuff. I have come to the conclusion that one major reason is that they use ethanol in the process and we do not. From what I am able to read on the subject, it appears that if one incorporates an ethanol fraction to lecithin it will produce a more jell like substance and it will produce a higher quality liposome more stable under the acidic conditions encountered in our stomach. Some of the studies that lead me to this: https://qir.kyushu-u.ac.jp/dspace/bitstream/2324/4572/1/p119.pdf and bigbro.biophys.cornell.edu/publications/197_Polozova.pdf My clue that Livon uses ethanol can be seen at: http://www.livonlabs.com/cgi-bin/start.cgi/lypo-spheric/LivOn-FAQ.html#10 It seems to me they are underplaying the use of ethanol in their lipo-spheric C, but this is what they write: Q: Why is there alcohol in the Lypo-SphericTM Vitamin C? A: There is alcohol in the product for preservative purposes. This is a pharmaceutical grade natural grain alcohol which will not cause any ill effects in the body. If you do not wish to consume the alcohol in the product, open the packet and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to let the alcohol evaporate.
