Re: CS>MSM

2012-11-24 Thread phoenix23002 tds.net
When I re-upped to receive Dr. Robert Rowen's newsletter a few years back,
one of the perks that was sent along was a booklet and some plastic
numbered color sheets to use with a light source. I was intrigued to say
the least. I didn't have an occassion to use the therapy until I had an
unfortunate happening after surgery.

The anesthesiologist (sp) used a size 18 needle in my hand for the iv (per
my hospital nurse). That weekend after I got home, my left lower arm and
hand that had had the iv became swollen and red. It was the weekend and I
live way out in the boonies so, I tried the green sheet installed in a
flashlight and used it on my arm and hand off and on all day Saturday.

By Sunday, the improvement was obvious and little redness. I continued the
therapy on Sunday and by Monday it was hardly noticable. I was impressed.
The RN that my insurance company had 'assigned' to my case explained to me
later that .. yes.. a too large needle combined with a too fast flow could
have caused my problem. Some kind of inflammation of the vein? I can't
remember what she called it. I don't have a vein there anymore on that
part of my hand either. I guess it collapsed? So.. in my opinion, there
seems to be some validity to color therapy. I don't know if laser therapy
is comparable to color therapy.Lola H.

I have used low level lasers for 25 years and go by don't stare at the beam
similar to don't look into the sun. I did get cataracts and had lens
replacement. So wear googles.

Thank you Brickey. Years ago I bought a light kit and book from an Indian
man in NJ. It consisted of colored films that you put over an enclosed low
level light bulb kit with instructions to use the different colors for
different amounts of time depending on the ailment. it never seemed to do
much but was very interesting. With the lasers you have to wear the goggles
or be careful not to look at beams. When I watched the nurse andi video
online, I wondered if they were using goggles for the green laser. Jess

Nope, once the choline (or lecithin) is made from the soy, I feel there
is too little actual soy substance left to be concerned about.

The soy in this product is not a whole soy, but is only an extract from soy
(phosphatidylcholine) that is combined with the curcumin to create a
“phytosome” which is much more bioavailable than the curcumin alone.
This process is used to enhance quite a few other herbal extracts:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytosome
I don’t believe phosphatidylcholine or the resultant phytosomes have any of the
negative health implications of a whole soy product such as soy milk, etc.
Many members on this list create their own liposomal vit C, according to the
Brooks Bradley formula, using soy lecithin (similar to phosphatidylcholine) to
achieve liposomal encapsulation and thus much greater bio-availability.

I am concerned. Seems like the manufacturers have not gotten the word on soy.
So a good good product can be compromised. However there are ways to counteract
the effects of soy with things like DIM.

I may have posted this before, but I am not sure how many people saw it.
I have received amazing relief from long term pain due to a hip injury from
a David Williams product called Periva.
It is basically an extract of Tumeric and Hops, so it is all natural and you
can take it long term with no nasty side effects.
You can buy it direct from David William¹s site or also from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Williams-Periva-Supplement-capsules/dp/B0083V8R58/r
ef=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353711634&sr=8-1&keywords=Periva
I take two a day WITH FOOD (don¹t take on an empty stomach, tumeric is a
powerful spice) and am pain free all day.
Everyone is different, but my wife also reports pain relief from this
relatively new product, so it is worth a try for those with chronic pain.

Del

Product Description
Clinically shown to quickly, safely, and naturally relieve aches and pains.
Let's face it, when you're in pain, you want relief and you want it fast.
But you also want something natural that won't have negative effects on your
health. Periva is a proprietary blend of two breakthrough natural
ingredients that provide fast, effective relief. Perluxan is a unique hops
extract containing 30% alpha acids, which have been shown to support the
body's natural inflammatory response. Perluxan has been shown in clinical
studies to relieve pain quickly. In fact, study participants using Perluxan
showed significantly reduced pain in all five movement aspects tested,
including walking, lying down, sitting, and going up and down stairs. Meriva
is a highly bioavailable form of curcumin, the active ingredient in
turmeric. This spice is known for its health promoting properties, but
especially for its ability to promote a normal inflammatory response and
ease joint and muscle discomfort. The curcumin in Meriva is bound to soy
phosphatidylcholine to create a phytosome, which makes it up to 45 times
more bioavailable than ordinary curcumin.

Dorothy,
This is nowhere near natural-- however my husband has had severe pain with
sciatica recently. Been to a chiropractor several times
and a massage therapist. We were at a craft show over the weekend and he
was limping with the pain. He went to
the vendors lounge and laid down on a couch. Someone took pity on him and
gave him two naproxyn sodium (Aleve) which he
had never taken before, and he got relief! That seems to be the only thing
that has helped.
That is not a long term remedy for us, assuredly-- but until we can nail
down the root cause and a more natural remedy, it has
sure given him much needed relief from the acute pain.

Its the long and difficult project to rebuild nerves. Liposome concoctions
seem like a promising avenue since the phospholipids are natural to the
cells and may be able to deliver otherwise poorly absorbed nutrients. If
you have an ultrasonic unit, you are set. There is a DIY LET forum.

If you have sciatica you have to find a way to stretch the spine, like
inversion boards, slant board or something. Maybe take a look at Peter
Egosques book Pain Free.

Actually, there is some indication that medical marijuana could be good.
Calcium aep comes to mind. Paw Paw herb may be of benefit. If you want to
try an herbal pain management, try kratom from a place like bouncing bear
botanicals. This would be a legal herbal in liu of hard pharmaceuticals.

If you have root canals, some, like Hulda Clark say progress is difficult
or nearly impossible. I would try zapping around the mouth area, and a
cheap way is to look into godzilla method. There are pulsers for example by
Sota and Stenulson. You could try CS with DMSO held in the mouth. Then
there is the need for chelation. A big subject on its own. Cilantro WITH
clay, chlorella and selenium is an option. A ripe field for your research.

The main thing is to move forward with these things. Use google and follow
all of the key terms mentioned. If you are not a mover shaker personality,
write a to do list and put on the fridge. Emotional freedom technique, the
tapping and self affirmation thing may be very good.

 Best of luck
