Re: CS>Nutribullet

2013-01-30 Thread Lena Guyot
The Vitamix container is fastened to the base (and often stored that way), then
loaded through the top. With the NutriBullet, one loads the container (only one
opening), then screws on the blade head, which is then inserted into the base.
In short, I never store the parts assembled (wouldn't make any sense) so they
don't stand tall at all and fit just about anywhere. That's why it's so good
for RVs at work, etc. There are many good arguments for Vitamix, but this isn't
really a relevant one.

Be well,
Léna

After reading about the Nutribullet on this site, I purchased one.
Well, it smelled really bad, had that bad, very strong vinyl type of
 smell.
It was sitting on our counter and the whole kitchen filled with that
 smell.
Obviously outgassing something you would rather not breathe.
Seems to come from the black rubber gear under the blade assembly.
The unit claims BPA free, but there seems to be something worse than BPA
 coming from it.
My wife insisted we should return it, and I agreed.
I researched the stuff the Vitamix is made of, and it looks a lot better,
 think I will try that.

You can buy it from Swanson Health Products swansonvitamins.com

They usually have a good discount on everything, and reasonable shipping.

I'm pretty sure it was just your standard green cabbage.

The way I read it, it looks like they only ate cabbage that day, no
other food, except tea.

Quote from an Edgar Cayce book:

"In Cayce-land, another way of saying Virginia Beach, Cayce home
remedies were as common as saying hello. Even the Geologist, in the
midst of his earth changes, was familiar with some. “Every time the
kids get pinworms, my wife grates some raw cabbage and feeds it to
them, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. By bedtime, or the next
morning, the pin-worms are gone.” The cabbage was all they took that
day except for tea, also recommended.

“Cayce,” the Geologist observed, “said that one cabbage leaf killed a
hundred thousand pinworms.”
