Re: CS>Silver Gel

2013-08-30 Thread Brickeyk
Hi Sandee
Do you say to repeat the toenail treatments? I understand it takes 6
months to grow new toenails, so they probably would be re-infected. Also I
found
my infra red laser worked to control toenail fungus. My wife is afraid to
use my laser. My wife finally agreed to cover her gel laden toenails with a
throw away pair of plastic gloves. I faintly recall messages that pretty
much said to buy gel kits from Ode. Never got the connection to use gel for
toenail fungus as I found silver did not control fungus in my Xmas trees.

Straight homebrew EIS fixed mine, but gotta say, it's taking forever for the
new nail to replace the old crusty looking nail, like 12 months or so now, but
it's nearly gone. Maybe I got slow growing nails .

CS>Scissors for skin tag? (papilloma) removal

2013-08-30 Thread Neville Munn
This is not strictly off topic as I treat after removal with EIS, but does
anyone know if scissors are available with hooked or cross over blades which
will enable cutting papilloma off using only one hand with blades trapping the
papilloma preventing it from slipping out of the blades.
Nail cutters have worked in the past but convex blade makes it impossible to
cut close to the skin if unable to grip papilloma with other hand to pull it
away far enough.

This is self removal of course, I'm not doing this with anyone else .

Hi Neville
There are cuticle clippers with a curved edge, but the cutting portion
is straight - in the store right alongside the nail clippers and my new
pairs have been very sharp. I have recently been tempted to use mine for
tag snipping, but first I thought I'd try multiple applications of
Lugols iodine - just ordered it last night. A shaving razor might also
work if the tag is small.

I bought some 99.9% pure silver wire last year from an ebay seller.   I had to
do a fair amount of research in order to make sure it really was pure silver
and NOT sterling silver which would NEVER do.  Also needed to make sure that
the wire was a fairly thick gauge, as this will yield superior results.

RE: CS>Scissors for skin tag? (papilloma) removal

2013-08-30 Thread Neville Munn
Hi Karen,
Yeah, I've checked everywhere but they only sell those plier type straight and
curved clippers, they aren't any good if I can't grab hold of the tag with the
other hand...Example, I'm right handed which means I can't hold on to tag with
left hand if under the left arm or higher on body above elbow height, can't get
my left hand there to grip it . If you're familiar with surgical stitch
removal scissors, that's sort of what I would like to get hold of, but with a
better hook on the end which won't allow the tag to slip out whilst cutting.
If both those blades were hooked, that would be perfect, no chance of slipping
out.
You got me thinking as I write this now, I could modify a pair of ordinary
small scissors by cutting a hollow out of both blades and resharpen them, that
might do the trick. Good thinking 99 . Thanks for your input.
