CSRE: silver-digest Digest V2013 #344

2013-12-31 Thread dd611

Hi Joy
I have had a similar experience after my heart attack and was at home
recuperating
and afraid to eat anything because what I ate before must have caused my heart
problems.
The vibrating felt like it started in my neck and extended down my chest. After
extensive reading
I tried taking kelp supplements and the vibrations went away within an hour and
I have not
had that symptom again(16 years). It had to be my thyroid starving for iodine.
Have you had it checked or do you take iodine or kelp?

Hi,

Is there someone on the list who is familiar with the phenomenon of feeling the
body vibrating? For the last few days I've been experiencing the sensing of how
my body is vibrating in cycles - it goes one way - then flips and goes the
other circular way. My feeling is the vibratory rate is on the low side - but
nonetheless - its there and I feel it. It is like a hum/rumble. And there are
no electronics or devices involved. Just plain physical sensation. Any
substantial evidence with this would be appreciated.

Re: CSNon C/S - OT Vitamix/Greenstar

2007-09-16 Thread dd611
For a long time I have been thinking of getting a greenstar or a single
screw juicer. I juice every day and use a juice-lady, similar to the
older juiceman.
It washes up in about 2 min. Why does it take some people up to 10 min.
and some only 2 min. to clean the greestar?
Is the 10 min. cleaning more involved and thorough? - Just accumulating
info about the greenstar to help me make up my mind if I should buy one.

Dennis.

S-Max wrote:
Hanneke,
I purchased a Greenstar as well. I love my Greenstar too, but don't use it

as often as I should. So sorry to hear about the warranty problem. I do have
a suggestion which makes cleaning a snap. It takes two minutes at the most.

When I know I am going to use the juicer, I fill one side of the sink with

water and a squirt of good dish washing liquid and stop it up. After juicing
I disassemble the juicer (15 seconds), and IMMEDIATELY submerge the parts
under water so that they don't have any time for the juice pulp to dry on
any part, especially the fine metal screen. Then I use a dish washing scrub
brush that fits all the parts nicely. I scrub the parts while under water,
and rinse off. Every few times of use, I will add H2O2 to the water, to
whiten the parts that absorb carrot or beet colors. In the dish rack they go
to air dry.
VOILA! Done.

---Original Message---
From: Hanneke
I own a Greenstar, and have been using it for quite a few
years. Thus far, the best juicer I have owned. Cleaning the parts
after use takes about 5-10 minutes which I found a bit of a nuissance
until I told myself that it didn't take any longer than doing the
dishes after a meal. And a glass of fresh juice often means a complete meal.

Re: CS20 mule team BORAX -- Please Help

2007-06-14 Thread dd611
That's interesting because from the previous posts I was thinking it may
be a good idea to dissolve borax in water and spray it over the garden
so that the veggies will come to be rich in boron. But if it burns grass
that may not be such a good idea??

Dennis

Clayton Family wrote:
One thing about the toxicity of boron and miners: the miners at US
Borax were healthy, and stayed that way, unlike most other types of
mines. The open pit there is so big it is incredible, and they use
explosives, so the dust is everywhere, and you breathe it while there.
Some of the minerals are fibrous, so that is bad, but still the miners
did not get lung disease- that may be due to it's water solubility.
The miners are still encouraged to use safe practices, but I did not
see anyone with a mask on while I was there. Maybe the guys down at
the bottom in all the dust, but they had sealed cabs in the trucks.

That being said, it is possible to get too much of it, and it can be
toxic even in the doses one would get if using it to clean everything
in the home. I remember some of the women that helped me with the mold
issues said to be careful to use gloves if borax is all you use for
cleaning ( it does a great job on mold).

I am not sure how persistant it is the the human body, but it can be
used to kill a lawn weed called creeping charlie, if applied in the
spring before it grows much- it can be persistant in the soil and if
it builds up too much, it can kill the grass. You can't apply it every
year. That may be a clue.

It depends, of course, on who said it.

The problem is, there are legal loopholes manufacturers/processors
can use to their advantage... the best example being the one I've
already pointed out - that honey producers can legally call their
honey 'unheated', even when it has been heated to 160 degrees.

Excuse the remark, but the word omnivore does not imply that it is
better to eat meat.

If we look at the greatest souls on earth, those who advocated peace
and worked for their fellows,

we will see that most of them were .. vegetarians.

There is also the concept of many who know better than us that
you are what you eat. (Just have a look at the Sumo-wrestlers
in Japan...)

.

And: the fear of death in animals destined to be fried (the fish on
the hook, the cow in the death-row, the hen sniffing the blood of her
sisters) shortly after causes acids in their bloodstream which we'd
better NOT digest.
