James opines: > I can't discuss this on-list any more, it is a violation of list protocol. > I apoloqize to all for asking the initial question. You mean all the kind, generous and loving actions of this life are all wiped away by owning a plastic cross made out of dice? That's mean. I think he needs to attend an anger managment seminar. Besides, he made me; so if he screwed up, why do I have to take the heat, in a manner of speaking? Does all eternity include the present? Or just what happens after today? Since he knows everything that will or has happended, he knew I would get the cross. Why didn't he just send me to hell when I was born? Further, why create me just to put me in hell. I am very confused. The Greatful Dead addressed these questions in; "The Victim or the Crime", "...must I be dammed in order to be saved?..." I can't discuss this on-list any more, it is a violation of list protocol. I apoloqize to all for asking the initial question. The List God definitly has jurisdiction over me, and I Know his wrath from past trangressions. If God is on line, I hope he knows I am just kidding. It is OK big fella, isn't it...OK? ,,, Hello? Now, let's say that my neighbor has a Mercedes and the little hood ornament was made of . silver. I could then make CS and call it "the Mercedes of colloidal silvers." IMO, discussing the use of a religious bauble to make CS is not a discussion of religion, as it has nothing to do with doctrine, mythology, superstition, etc. Chances are, the only response you'd get is a warning to make sure the bauble in question was made of .999+ pure silver and not .925 sterling silver. -- John A. CS>[Listowner] Rules Reminder... READ!
Hi folks, Long and frequently painful experience shows that discussing religion or spirituality of any sorts is nearly guaranteed to disrupt the list. Even if people don't wade in with both feet and start arguing theology and doctrine, some will silently get fed up and leave. I've already received one quiet complaint. For that one there are a dozen who won't say anything. The silver list is for discussion of Colloidal Silver and related topics. The list rules specifically prohibit discussion of religion and politics. Dean posted a question wondering how we'd evolved the way we did. Robb erred in posting a reply to this list to the effect that we didn't, rather that we were created as we are. Marshall and others replied to Robb's remark, as if this were not the Silver List, but something else... I posted a reply to that thread asking the topic to go to the Off Topic List, but others ignored that, perhaps not reading the thread before sending their replies. I expect each of you to tolerate minor "religious" comments that happen in passing. This includes letting people mention evolution in this context... just as I would expect them not to object to the occasional "God Bless", or "Please pray for me", or "Thank God" that may come by from you. Marshall actually posted his challenge to Robb to this list by mistake, thinking instead that it was from the off-topic-list and not noticing otherwise. His apology, posted to the off-topic-list, was probably not noticed by most of you. Some part of the thread has gone over to the Off Topic list, as it should be. Now we need to stop it here. Of course, a few more posts will come through before *everybody* reads everything. JUST DON'T REPLY TO THEM, PEOPLE!!! Ahem... And, get into the habit of reading the entire thread before responding, especially to something that's off-topic or controversial. I would really *LIKE* to follow up on some of these discussions with you folks. That is why the Off Topic list exists. Please make the effort to use it, both for the sake of *this* list, and so that we can enjoy some lively discussion. Every member of the Silver List is automatically able to post messages to the Silver Off Topic List. Post your message or reply to: silver-off-topic-l...@eskimo.com You can read the Off Topic list on the web at: http://escribe.com/health/thesilverlist/index.html You can also get the Off Topic List in e-mail by going to http://www.silverlist.org ... and clicking on the Off Topic List link.
