it looks like the new Bullet with 900 watts does not have the different
settings to do different functions ? so you can do more with the older model ?

This feedback is great. I love my vitamix but sometimes it is just too big for
what I want. I have been thinking about getting a NutriBullet. They are sold
several places but with the easy replacement policy at Bed, Bath and Beyond I
think when I make the leap I will get it there.

Thanks,

CSOT - Nutri Bullet

2013-11-14 Thread PT Ferrance
Hi,
I finally got my NutriBullet yesterday and had a chance to look through the
book.  I have a question for those of you that have one.  Can it only tolerate
cold items?  I was hoping to throw some cooked veges and hot water into it for
a simple soup.  Also, can you put ice into it?
Thanks.

Haven't thought to use hot in it, but the grain blade is supposed to pulverize
ice well. Also, after a year of daily use, my regular blade head got wobbly in
its spindle. I called Bed Bath Beyond where I'd purchased it, to replace that
part, and they said they can't do that, just parts, but to bring the whole
thing in and they'd replace it! Nice.

2013-11-14 Thread Pat
After my first Nutribullet got incredibly loud (like a jet airplane taking
off!)at seven months, I put all the parts into a bag and took it to the store.
I couldn't find my receipt.  Before I could even tell her my complaint, the
clerk grabbed it away, whisked a new boxed one up to the counter and said thank
you.  This one is 10 months old and is still doing well.  I'm very careful not
to overfill it, I put 1/2 of the first batch into the smaller container
before I add the yogurt and whey and blend.  Then I just stir them together.
Wish the container was just a little bit larger.  (or maybe I should just eat
smaller amounts?!)

I suspect they sell so many thousands of these that they've figured out no
questions/receipt replacement is the easiest, cheapest way to keep their
reputation and fan base happy. I know so many people with big Vita-mixes who've
switched to the compact Nutribullet, and some who have bought second ones to
take to work. It's so nice when something turns out to be as good as it claims.

Bed, Bath and Beyond almost always has a 20% off coupon going at any given
time. Sign up for their email newsletter or whatever. We get paper ones
mailed to us and I get them emailed to me. They run about 100 bucks so
that 20% off adds up nicely. It is one reason I haven't bought one yet at
say Target when I have been there because they never have them marked down
as low as 80 bucks.
