Dear Jaxi,

just a few drops right into the ear?

Enough to fill the ear canal, 3% peroxide, 20 minutes per side or until
it stops bubbling...

Works like a charm! grin

Thanks to Brooks Bradley for bringing that little trick to our
attention!

I have been using a neti pot for several years. I unfortunately have not
managed to save up to buy a generator yet to make my own CS, but I have been
using commercial stuff for a few years. I also worked in a health food store
for several years so I know a bit about what other people do as well.

When I'm having a sinus problem always add a little CS to my water.
Probably less than a teaspoon. I would use more if I was able to make my
own. The commercial stuff is just too expensive for me to do that. It works
awesome. I have always had good results.

I have also used another product called Neti Wash that has grapefruit seed
extract in it which can also be helpful. Many of my customers also just
added the grapefruit seed extract to theirs. I even had one customer who
said they put a little cayenne in there for a nasty infection. I personally
just prefer to use CS.

I struggled with allergy and sinus problems my whole life. The first time I
used a neti pot though, it changed my life. Allergens do get trapped in your
sinus cavities. Just spraying something up there isn't going to get all that
out. That's why neti pots are so great.

I hope this helps. I haven't posted on here before because I don't make my
own CS yet. As soon I can manage to afford it I will be buying a generator
and will use CS for many more things.

Thanks Kriss ... so you add the CS to the salt solution? Folks that
understand the science of stuff - Would that negatively impact the CS/EIS?
I know it is not a good idea to add salt to the water before making the EIS.

I have and have used a neti pot on and off for years. Typically with the
normal salt solution. But now that I have all this wonderful EIS (well what
the animals leave me of it anyway) I had wondered if this might be a good
option for use.

Re: CSSinuses - neti pot?

2010-08-20 Thread M. G. Devour
The only problem with adding EIS/CS to the salt water in your neti
pot is that the silver will quickly combine with the chloride to make
silver chloride. That's not a bad thing, and it ought to still be
beneficial. It's sure a lot easier to handle on the nasal linings than
straight CS!

That's in contrast to the idea of *making* CS with salt in the water.
That drives the concentration and the particle size up *very* rapidly,
while also producing as much silver chloride as you have salt. Abused,
such CS has some potential for causing argyria.

Start with low concentration CS and mix it into salt water, the
concentration will still be in a safe range.

I've only used a neti pot some, so I hope others with more experience
than I have will chime in to straighten me out if I'm wrong! grin

Peace,

Mike

If I skip a day my nose becomes plugged and have to mouth breathe with my

I also use the eis/msm etc. combination to flush my eyes using an eye cup.
I take oil of oregano/olive leaf/garlic to try to keep the stomach clear of
