Re: CSreadability of websites help, was Re: CSRE: cataracts
I suggest you cut and paste, what you want to read, to word and then use the background delete to get rid of the color - I agree totally all of this looks good but is far from good for many reasons, there is one who has a background on this site which as I see it I delete it as it is just to hard to read - maybe I am just too simple but life for me has to be easy Take care and good luck Sandee The one who accomplished it is the one who failed to realize that he could not do it. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. CSreadability of websites help, was Re: CSRE: cataracts
Does anyone know if there is a way to change a website/page(s) that are just about unreadable because of dark text on dark backgrounds or white text on black backgrounds to plain black text on white? I figured out I can enlarge the text, and that helps with some sites, but the kefirpage link below is one where increasing text size doesn't help me much. I can't read the darn thing. I churlishly hope all the people who make these fancy-shmancy webpages get old and can't read their own damn sites! As they are it is a triumph of needing to be stylish over making a site accessible. Try entering a ^A (control a), or blocking off the text you want to read. That always works for me. CSreadability of websites help
Morning Sol, This is a problem with many sites, color, text size, you name it. I set my browser to the largest size, but that does not help in many cases. Does anyone know if there is a way to change a website/page(s) that are just about unreadable because of dark text on dark backgrounds or white text on black backgrounds to plain black text on white? When I find a site important enough that I really want to read it, here is what I do to solve the problem. Simply copy and past the document into word. Or you can in some cases, do a save as and make it text, word, or html. After getting the document into word, simply format to make it any font you like, and any point size that pleases the eyes. It is a bit of a pain, but this works for me. If I go to this much trouble, I usually keep the file and add it to my collection. Marshall and Sandee, I use Netscape, and found I can set the appearance (in Preferences) so that websites appear as black text on white background. Desperation can do wonderful things. The Kefir website now comes up that way, I don't have to do anything. YAY! sol Marshall Dudley wrote: Try entering a ^A (control a), or blocking off the text you want to read.
