CSto PT
PT, Whenever I delete your emails I get a message asking me if I'd like to send a receipt to you that lets you know I have deleted your email. I find this pop-up message rather annoying. Is there any way you can change your email settings so we don't have to get this? Thanks. Nenah
Re: CSto PT
Nenah, You would have to check the settings in your computer. I have nothing to do with that. I have written to the list owner to see if there is a setting he can use for the read receipt. This is the only list there seems to be a problem with. Thanks. Hi list, I am having the same problem and is usually caused by the sender requesting (demanding) acknowledgment of receipt. This sender is the only one with such an annoying requirement and it has nothing to do with my computer. Of course one can always exclude this type of messages by shunting them to the disallowed list. Re: CSto PT
PT, this is something you can control on your end. Most email clients have options where you can indicate if you want receipts for things like this. You obviously didn't set it up this way, it appears to be the default. If you want to turn this off you'll need to look into your email client's options. I looked in the header of your last email and saw the following, which I think is telling recipients of your email to sent receipts: Disposition-Notification-To: needling around ptf2...@bellsouth.net *Mike D*, I don't suppose the email list program can strip out headers like this? Re: CSto PT
How do y'all get those? I deleted one experimentally, but did not get any message about receipts. I use Thunderbird, so maybe that has something to do with it. You may be able to set your mail program to individually send or not send receipts. I don't get any 'receipt' messages at all, just the regular email. I just use Mac Mail. dee On 18 Mar 2010, at 19:06, Annie B Smythe wrote: How do y'all get those?
