Oil Pulling sounded like it was nothing, so I thought
I'd give it a try. Bought some sesame oil yesterday
(even the big grocery store had no sunflower oil.)
Forgot about the part that said you should do it on
empty stomach first thing in the a.m. so I tried it
last night. I never thought 20 minutes was so long
before lol. The oil is fine, tastes nice. But with
the foaming and adding saliva, it grew and I had to
spit part out twice. They say one tablespoon and
then say 10 ml, but a tablespoon is almost 15 ml. I
used almost a whole tablespoon. I ended up with a
little headache and a bit of a tummy ache, but decided
it was something one could easily get used to if it
helped.  I tried it again this a.m. and it was better;
I ended up feeling the same as when I started. I just
don't see how swishing oil can really help anything,
but something so simple I'm willing to give it a try.

Yeah, it is curious, I don't know if it was the disgusting taste,
because toasted sesame oil is wrong to use, or I might actually be
somewhat reactive to sesame oil. It hasn't bothered me to use a teaspoon
in a stir fry, but a tablespoon in the mouth for 15 minutes could
produce reaction. It also could be like a herx? Meaning this OP does
pull infections? I have 7 root canal teeth that I cannot afford to have
removed but I am convinced they are a constant source of low grade

very poor day to try OP in any case.

It is one of the things to do with coconut oil, quite apart from what other
oils may or may not do.
You can just hold it in your mouth, or swish it. You don't have to spit it

pro-body actions.
People are also using virgin coconut oil, sometimes with other ingredients,

2006-04-03 Thread Rowena
We-ell, Gertrude, it's one of those things one may know about but not always
do. If for any reason I take a mouthful of VCNO - and sometimes in the
morning rush for whatever reason I do, it calms the pangs of hunger - I will
hold it in my mouth and swish through, but I can't lay claim to doing it on
a regular basis.

While I was a way for a month recently I took a small container of VCNO
(Kokonut Oil, Canberra, Australia; www.kokonutpacific.com.au) with me
overseas, and every morning swished it, just a teaspoonful, and sprayed
throat with the CS/DMSO/Xylitol/MSM/HimalayanSalt mix. It snowed every
where I went, and I was really travelling, only staying two nights or so in
each place, and food was just what the hosts provided (the poorest family
ate the best!). I got through without a day's illness (though when I came
back I really had to work hard to beat something that was trying to drag me
down; probably my own fault for sitting up late at the computer and getting
cold?) I lent out my Far Infrared Sauna while I was gone, just had my first
one for weeks last night.

I don't have experience with the other oils for swishing.

Somewhat more regular is my "VCNO" chocolate.
A mix of nuts and seeds, whole or ground, with desiccated coconut, cocoa,
spices like cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, etc. and some xylitol, (or
occasionally perhaps sugar or honey, and I may try date syrup one day) mixed
with VCNO and allowed to set in the fridge in such a way as to be able to
grab a piece when needed. The dry mix can be premixed for quick
preparation. It can be set in ice block trays, flat baking trays in between
waxed paper, in a large ziplock bag, flattened out, on a plastic tray
between waxed paper, or greaseproof paper, etc. Flat mix scored into
squares for easy snapping off. Once set, pieces can be snapped off and kept
in a container in fridge. Non-hydrogenated oil liquifies at temps in the
mid 70s. so you need to keep it in the fridge unless your house is very
cold.

I often have it AS breakfast.

Nowadays the only other oil I regularly use is olive, though I do have some
other oils waiting to be opened - avocado, sesame, walnut.

I have read good reports of VCNO benefits with thyroid.

Rowena

That's a relief. I decided to try it this morning and only had sesame
oil (toasted) on hand. I've been sick as a garbage eating dog ever
since, nausea, diarrhea. YUCK!

one tablespoon (about 10 ml) of refined sunflower/gingelly/groundnut oil in the

  http://www.karenrobinson.org/f/opuniversalremedy.pdf If you have adobe
reader you can open this, if not adobe reader is free to download. Oil pulling
is basically swishing/pulling cold pressed oil (olive, sunflower, safflower,
almond, sesame) in the mouth through the teeth for 5-20min/day. The oil pulls
all kinds of toxins/bacteria out of the body. The toxins will be pulled from
all of the organs, the mouth included. If you have tooth and gum problems you
should see good results. Also helps to clear the skin. There are many more
benefits to it than I can write so read the pdf file if you can.
