Re: CS> PHN Shingles - speedy relief with homeopathic remedy

"There's no cure for shingles"

I got shingles on my left eyebrow - not pleasant. I guessed what it must be
before seeing anyone, and immediately took the homeopathic remedy ==Rhus Tox=
which I happend to have in the house. I went to my homeoapth who uses Interro
computer assisted diagnosis, and he gave me the correct herpes zoster remedy.
Within a week I was OK, though for a few years I did get one isoloated small
flaky patch from year to year on that spot which would bleed if I scratched it.
However, I was spared the misery others have endured. Relief was amazingly
quick. I didn't go to the doctor at all. Seen too many cases of people
suffering horribly for months.

Apparently you have not heard the several anecdotal reports of Colloidial
Silver curing shingles that have appeared on this list.

There's no cure for shingles; however, Famvir, an expensive anti-viral
prescription drug, may help to control the disease but won't cure it.
Shingles is caused by Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome. It starts in the ear,
affects the eyesight, tear ducts, hearing, facial muscles, swallowing,
speech, hair loss, vertigo, high anxiety, and slowly progresses to vital
organs and lastly the brain. Massachusetts General Hospital has
estimated over a million suffer from shingles in the U.S. Why no one
has studied this disease, discovered in 1907, is truly mind boggling.
Contact your state and federal representatives and ask for research on
Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome.

Hi Himagain:
Is there really no cure for cancer, or because the pharmaceutical
companies don't want a cure? The love of money is the root of all evil.

The symptoms of shingles is very common in China and is usually diagnosied
as gallbladder or liver heat or dampheat and treated accordingly. Typical
herbal formula is Xiao Feng San but depends upon the differential diagnosis.
Acupuncture is another method often successfully employed. All intergarte
well with CS applied locally with laser light theraphy. One can also simply
use a laser pointing pen (Radio Shack 24.95). First saturate the area with
CS, cover with plastic film (saran wrap)and press (gently) the laser agianst
the skin. Hold for a few minutes and repeat along different areas.

Hi, beg to differ here, along with untold thousands of others.

I beg to differ on that,
That is western medicines opinion.

Shingles is part ofthe family of herpes simplex virus and is related to
Chicken pox. If one has had Chicken Pox it can lie dormant in the body
for years. As I understand it, this along with the other viruses ( HSV1,
HSV2, HHV6 ) are all one and the same. There are a number of approaches
to eradicating this virus. Although very stubborn it can be done.
CS is one approach used. O2 taken orally with DMSO cream is another. The
virus is anaerobic. It cannot sustain life in an oxygenated environment.

Simply put, if one increases the O2 environment in the blood, this will
eventually get to the cell membrane and begin killing off the virus.
DMSO cream is used topically to the areas where breakout has happened in
the past and also where the virus typically resides; ower back near the
sacrum and lower back of neck. The last way is going to a homeopath and
once tested being administered a solution to take orally and
complimented with CS as well. I have read on this list at some point
high doses of CS can kill off the virus. How Cs works is something I
don't know.
My personal friend recently had shingles and visited a homeopath. In
some cases a person with an extremely strong immune system, killsoff the
virus. He shows no sign of it in his system. Also, Herpes has been known
to burn itself out as people age into their 50's and up. Modern medicine
doesn't quite understand this phenomenon.

My 80 year old neighbor had pain from Post Herpedic Neuralgia for over 8
years. He was in constant pain. He began to take my home made CS and VERY
SLOWLY his pain went away. It took a year, but today he has NO PAIN at all.
He only took an oz. a day. I am sure if your friend took 8-16 oz. a day,
the pain would go away quicker. It is not instant, and it is very subtle,
but it will go away. I fact, it was so subtle, he didn't realize the pain
was going away for a few months until he stopped to think about it. After
three months when I asked him how he was feeling, he siad he ws still in a
lot of pain. Then he thought about it a minute and realized he was now able
to put his wallet in his pocket where he could not do this before. It was
so subtle, he didn't realize it was getting better.

He might also try homeopathic remedies. Hypericum comes to mind for damaged
nerves, but a good homeopath would be the person to ask.

My Mother suffered from this and was put on an antidepressant to help with
the pain management - can't remember the name. All other measures she tried
didn't help.

I'd personally look into Botox. I've heard people use it for Migraines. It
sure beats the other meds like Oxycontin he's on.

A more natural therapy of which I have no first hand experience is
Prolotherapy. The hard part will be finding someone to administer this
whereas Botox is readily available.
