And, as I said, that would be YOUR experiment.
I'd be interested in your results.
I'm sure we all would be.

That is all I want to know..
Well, since MSM is oxidized DMSO, it does sound plausible. I was
thinking that I could mix the two, and let the DMSO evaporate out and
see if any MSM is left behind. But according to another message
earlier, it sounded like DMSO does not evaporate. Hmm, maybe I could
boil it. I will do some experimenting and see what happens. Also
maybe I could use freeze purification instead of distillation to get
to any possible solute.

Hi Marshall,
I read once that DMSO attracts water from air into itself and
therefore does not evaporate. It seems that must depend on the humidity
of the air where the DMSO is. Left uncovered in my house (bathroom
actually--should be the highest humidity of any room) DMSO does indeed
evaporate.

Looking forward to what you find out.

In his post Brooks did not address whether adding peroxide to DMSO
converts (all or part) of the DMSO to MSM. My point is that if mixing
peroxide and DMSO results in MSM, then we should be able to substitute
MSM in the first place, which would not equate to changing the protocol
as much as you assume it would. All of course conditional on whether it
is known how much peroxide converts how much DMSO to MSM. If that
conversion does happen.

Not unhelpful at all.
When Brooks posts results, that means that he actually GOT results.
When he tells you what to use...that's what he used to GET the
results.

If YOU want the same results, do what he did with what he used.

If you change anything, you're doing your own experimenting, and it
has nothing to do with the original premise.

Be insulted if you want to, that's up to you.
Waste of energy.

Possibly dumb question:

It has been my understanding for years now that mixing DMSO and peroxide
results in MSM. So could we just brush with MSM powder? Or mix some MSM
with peroxide?
I tried the mix as laid out by Brooks this morning, and it was
tolerable, but I am one that does get the DMSO body odor, so if MSM
would work also, that would be my preference.

Anybody have any thoughts?

Yes, I wish I had been on the list before. Everyone says that he always has
the best information. Since I've been on it, he hasn't posted much. But
when he does--it's a gem!
