RE: CS>CS and DMSO; OT: need Scars/Adhesions help

2003-10-24 Thread Richard Harris
Hi silversurfer,
A few years ago, DMSO was outlawed in US by FDA for medical uses; except for
injections of DMSO for Interstitial Cystitis (almost a specific relief for
this painful condition). It can still be obtained legally for many other
uses at: Sporting Goods outlets, Hardware & Paint Stores, Feed & Farm Supply
stores. Surely if you'd call some of these in the yellow pages, you'd find
DMSO--DO NOT tell them you plan to use it in medicine--tell them for paint
remover. Almost every trainer in all US sports has & uses DMSO in liquid &
spray form to apply to sprains & contusions to athletes that have to be
assisted to the sidelines in a contest. They Apply to sprain, usually
bandage tightly and the patient's affected area doesn't swell, pain is
relieved and in a few minutes, the player is once again on the field
competing--Amazing!
Hope you find it speedily.
Best regards,
Richard Harris, 56 yr FL Pharmacist

Check out DMSO.com
good prices and service.

I think that 2 pints @ $6 ea plus S&H
is about the best you will find.
I know that other list members buy from the
same source.

I bought my DMSO at the local health food store but it
was a bit pricey. Next time I will definitely be
buying it online.

Elle,
Enzymes are reported (anecdotally) to help tremendously with adhesions and
internal scar tissue. Vitalzyme is one of the best.

OT: Also, hoping this isn't the wrong place to ask... I have extensive
abdominal scarring, internal and external, from high dose radiation and from
surgery. I have internal adhesions ... Anyhow, I'm wondering if
any of you might know of some "alternative" means of dealing with abdominal
adhesions. It would be a god-send to be able to eat veggies again! Juicing
alone just doesn't staisfy.

best regards to all. This is an amazing list.
