Hi! I'm just DeLurking to say Goodbye, as i'm basically Moving to 
Bendigo, so SLUG isn't gonna be in my juristiction for longer :P

I wanna say thankyou to all the posters to the ML, as, while i've been 
lurking, i've gained a lot of useful information that i've been using 
sucessfuly for the last few months.

ye gods... every Major public email online has been 
getting hammered by this darn virus recently.. not the virus itself mind you, 
but the message undeliverable replies to all the random emails that didn't make 
it..and now I feel guilty cause someone's sending frickin virii in my name! Does 
anyone have any tips on curbing the tide?

I'm amazed noone's mentioned VMWare. Basically, you can actually run windows
ITSELF in linux. as well as linux in windows. or OS2 in linux in win95 in
Win98 in NT4 in XP, if you so prefer. XD

Like I said. Video editing, etc. I watch DVDs with Xine too. I find that
converting DVDs to divx/xvid is a little Faster under linux, though it's
slightly more work.

What about Multimedia in Linux? Configuring A/V Hardware, Music composition,
Video Editing, Flash, etc? Not sure if it would fit in 72 hours though..

And it still desen't explain why that guy has a green background,
irrellevantly highlighted words, and bad grammar. All good luck to him that
he learns the skills and buissness sense required to pursue such a
buissness, but I'm still saying he should learn things like that before
starting up a net cafe.

[SLUG] OT: ICQ Finally uses AIM contacts!

The latest alpha of ICQ lite finally allows users 
to use AIM contact lists and send messages to AIM users. granted, this was done 
YEARS ago with Gaim, but i'ts good to know that the ICQ/AIM merger is finally 
completed. :P
