[SLUG] I am having TELNET problem in RedHat Linux 7.2
Dear friends, I have two DELL machines both running RedHat Linux 7.2 connected to each other by a crossover cable. I can ping one from the other other without any problem. But I can not telnet to the telnet server from either one. I modified the file in /etc/xinet.d/telnet where disalbe=no and I restarted /etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd ..but I am still not able to telnet. From the machine itself, I can telnet to itself, but from other machine, it says connection refused. any help would be appreciated. [SLUG] RE: slug digest, Vol 1 #1792 - 7 msgs
Dear friends, I am running Red Hat Linxu 7.0 with kernel version 2.2.16-22. sendmail-8.11.0-8 is currently running and we are using this computer as primary mail server. I have RedHat 7.2 CDs and want to upgrade the Red release to 7.2 and the kernel version to 2.4.7-10. My question is, will the sendmail be running fine as it is after upgrading the RedHat 7.0 Redhat 7.2 from the CDROM installation?
