There is an add-on that allows a reply to list button to appear on the
toolbar. I have just found it.

Hi Sridhar

Isn't it annoying when you think you have a reply to the thread of which
you were the OP, and it turns out that someone has hijacked the thread
without changing the subject line?? Ah etiquette, etiquette...

It's ok though.. my tongue is in my cheek and I'm not *really* annoyed.

PS.. and seeing that we have changed the subject... how do you make
thudderbird reply to list? I can't find the function anywhere. Possibly
because i'm stupid, I know.

What if those 'people' were actually spammers?

You'd just end up with an inbox full of red mail, all vying for your
attention. How can you tell what's genuinely important, then? If
everyone is crying "wolf", how do you know when there is really a
wolf?

Do you really want to inflict that mess upon another person?

I think your apache config is wrong. This works for me (with
mod_include enabled):

Options Indexes IncludesNoExec FollowSymLinks ExecCGI
XBitHack full
AllowOverride None

I assumed that XBitHack was an option and put it in the option line, but
obviously I was wrong!

Thanks John...

Re: [SLUG] XBitHack

speaking of etiquette...

Could we change the thread name? I was really hoping that this post would have
something to do with XBitHack but alas it's about replying to emails :(

If anyone has any clues about XBitHack failing when I reload Apache2 config
containing , I would be truly grateful. (see OP)

Its much better to use "Reply to List" if your mail client supports it.

Yeah,

well Thunderbird has never had a Reply to List button.

Yes, I know. I've now discovered the add-on.
