Re: [RCSE] FAI timing
OK we're talking about hundredths here. I may be revealing gross ignorance here, but how can some guy holding a stopwatch hope to be accurate enough for hundredths of a second to be considered? OK, sorry, don't care. I don't much keep up with F3J. We truncate in F3B, or has this been changed also? Go Shoeless Joe! GO! RE: [RCSE] FAI timing
If you actually look at the round scores you will see it is timed to the tenth of a second. What you are looking at is the Normalised score as a percentage to 2dp. At some point you have to draw the line. Yes Joe did get pipped, perhaps if he wore shoes? I still feel the fly off's are stupid, why not just continue the rounds dropping your worst score. Then add winches (with Mono). Enjoyed following it this week. [RCSE] F3J WInch contests
Although slower than I had anticipated, F3j Winch contests have been showing up at the club level here in the States. I have been to a couple across the country. I know that our Rep to the FAI in asking for and pushing for opinions on the matter. It looks like we will end up going the way of regulated winches as well. I welcome the format change. Not necessarily the hardware rfestrictions. If you are interested, and are stateside, get a hold of Terry Edmonds [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let him know. Re: [RCSE] Get a Pretty Mantis if you can't fly an ugly plane
The other question is how do you get a Pretty Mantis? Is there one source or do you have to get the wing at one place and the fuse and tail at others?
