The First MRCC Easyglider FunFly!! I want to invite any and all of you to
come join us (MRCC) for our monthly TD contest Sunday April 23rd. 10am pilots
meeting. After were done with the contest we plan to go strait into a Easyglider
funfly event maybe 12:20 pm ish. We should have a winch / high start and tow
plane @ the site. For those of you who have not been to the MRCC lake site here
is some info. Modesto Reservoir is locaded just past Waterford, CA on HWY 132
You will make a left on Reservoir road, then come to the pay shack. Cost is
about 6 to 8 bucks to enter the park. After that trun left and head toward the
boat launch. you should see the MRCC field on the right just after the turn for
the boat launch. Our local TD contests are quite laidback and fun. They cost 5
buck to enter. Come fly with us! The EasyGlider event will be just after the TD
contest and is free... Also if you have not been to the Easyglider
Thread check it out here. http://bayrc.com/boards/viewtopic.p...der=asc&start=0
Info about the MRCC lake site can be found Here. http://www.modestorcclub.com/Reservoir.htm I
have posted some pic's of the flying site and some EZG aerotow we did this past
thursday about 1/2 way down the page here. http://modestorcclub.com/john.htmPlease le me

[RCSE] DLG Pushrods, inside or out?

2006-04-22 Thread Corey Groves
I am in the process of building my second Gladiator G2 and I have
decided to abandon the pull-pull system in favour of some pushrods. I
have a set of etched teflon/carbon pushrods which I will be
installing. I can't decide if I should run the pushrods along the
outside of the tail boom and have the drag without weakening the tail
boom, or, run the pushrods inside the tailboom and cut openings near
the end and weaken the tailboom but having a clean installation.
Any thoughts, ideas?

Re: [RCSE] DLG Pushrods, inside or out?

2006-04-22 Thread S Meyer
Unless your into building "ship in a bottle", go outside. The ease
of construction easily outweighs the very slight drag penalty. All
points of the teflon tubing should be adhered to the boom.

Checkout how the XP-4 is
done. http://www.polecataero.com/products/xp4/construction-manual/10/

Re: [RCSE] made a molded nose skeg

2006-04-22 Thread Steve Schneider
Dave, make sure you give it a good test before you use it in a contest.  I have a similiar skeg that I got with one of my NYXs.  The skeg part broke off, and I have been trying everything to get it back on with enough strength to withstand landings.  Remember, shed parts =no landing points.
