[RCSE] For Sale - Stratos 5 - RTF
Guys, Here is another one: Stratos 5 -RTF RTF - Just drop in your receiver and you are airborne. If you use a SuperSlim it will even be balanced perfectly! Weight Ready to fly = 76.5 ounces. 2 - Micro-maxx in the fuse 4 - Wing-maxx digitals in the wings This plane is in excellent shape with no crashes and flies great I only wish I could fly it more often just doesn't make sense at this point to simply look at it! It is an excellent slope ship and it is the first plane I winched in over 20 years. Goes up the line straight and true. Mike Fox even mentioned that it zooms well, could have been the pilot though! I am not sure what the lay-up is but I can see both carbon and glass. $1200 shipped in the Continental US. See pix at: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=591317 The previous owner passed along these bits of info as well: It was originally Rolf Oetter's heavy air ship for the 2004 F3J worlds. It was specially built for the team to meet Arend and Rolfs specs. IT is not far off what would be the absolutely best materials selection from the builder. In others words the highest performance materials, and kept as light as possible. I have it on good authority the wings are extremely strong on this airframes. I originally bought it for spirited sloping, but other aircraft (IMAC - EDF) sorta made my existing slope fleet seem more than adequate :^) -- Greg Smith Slope Soaring Resource http://www.slopeflyer.com US distributor for Wizard Compact II, Opus DS V, Majko, Airtech models and PCM Erwin 5 models. [RCSE] 2M planes for sale
Title: 2M planes for sale Don't wait until 3 weeks before the Nats to pick up an excellent flying 2M plane. Buy them now and have time to trim them to your satisfaction before the Nats! The first is an excellent condition Super V 2M. Includes 6 JR servos, 341's for the tail and I'm told 341's for the ailerons and 351MG servos for the flaps. I will only pull the nice looking tape covers off of the wing if it's a show stopper. The only thing that keeps this plane from being like new is a couple of repaired cracks on the bottom of the V-tail. The wings were made by Fred Sage and are in excellent condition. The fuse is also in excellent condition and it has a molded in nose skeg. I was told the plane weighs in right at 40 ounces and can be ballasted by changing the aluminum wing rod included with a steel one that the new owner can supply. $425 + shipping Next is a combination plane. The wings are double taper Super V wings again made by Fred Sage. The fuse is an NSP Laser 2M fuse and a set of built-up stabs. The wings have Hitec HS80 size servos in them (I'm not sure whether they are 80's, 81 or 85's) and the flap servos have metal gears. The servos aren't permanently installed and the wiring needs to be completed. The fuse is brand new, never touched and the stabs are built-up and covered in Monokote. There is some building obviously needed to complete this plane. $375 + shipping Next is one of my favorite 2M planes, the Saturn 2M. This is a wood over foam plane covered with Ultracote. This plane is in great condition considering they haven't been built for over 10 years. No servos are included. These planes were the hot ticket in the 80' and early 90's. The wingrod is a piece of aluminum tubing 3/4 in diameter! This plane will take a hard winch launch without hesitation. $150 + shipping Finally, I have a Falcon 600. The wings are in good condition but the fuse has had several repairs. No radio is included. This would make a great little slope plane or an intro into full house planes. It's too heavy for serious contest work, but for fun or slope, it's great. $150. I'll get some photos NLT this weekend.

Re: [RCSE] Cleveland slope heads
Argh! I will be in Columbus for the JR Indoor Festival. I would love to come up to fly slopes with you! But even if I cannot make it, you might check with the North Coast Electric Flyers. They have a growing number of slope flyers. I would send you a link to our home page, but I cannot find it right now. But the Forum is really where you can get in touch with the members. I posted your question to one of the sloper threads there. Nothing hokey going on here. I did post it twice by accident. I post in plain test so there can't be any malicious code. Also, I am a Mac guy and for the most part immune to bugs. -- Greg Smith Slope Soaring Resource http://www.slopeflyer.com From: JAMES EALY [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 2 Nov 2006 19:52:01 -0500 To: Greg Smith [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED], RCSE soaring@airage.com Subject: Re: [RCSE] For Sale - Stratos 5 - RTF Hello guys: Sorry to ask this question to the whole list - but the email from Greg Smith will not delete!
