[RCSE] Solenoid Failure
In less then year I have experienced the failure of 3 winch solenoids. They are Cole Hersee solenoids. The first failure was with brand new ones. On the first day of use both solenoids failed at essentially the same time, they both stayed closed. A cutoff switch saved the sailplane. After the failure I installed Cal Posthuma's Solenoid LEDs. The second failure was last Saturday, it was only the second day the solenoids were used. One of the solenoids stayed open. Cal's solenoid setup's buzzer sounded and the LED for that solenoid stayed on. We jerry rigged a bypass for the bad solenoid and were able to fly. I am a firm believer of Cal's solenoid setup. [RCSE] JR DS362 servo (Europe) = JR DS368 servo (US)
Quick question, is the JR DS362 servo available outside the US (e.g. Europe) the same as the JR DS368 servo sold in the US. If not which US servo is equivalent. (To save some money, rather than paying for servos in Euros I need to send some servos to Europe to have them built into a wing.) Thanks, Don RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. [RCSE] Venom aircorps help
Anyone have an electric P-51 or Zero from Venom Aircorps? The directions recommend changing the factory Hard Start to a Soft Start (to protect the Lipo). I go through the procedure and it doesn't change. Called the tech at customer service and he couldn't help. RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Re: [RCSE] "Just another day of sloping the Parthenon?"

Actually there are plenty of good slope spots here in Athens, but no one seems to fly around here. Even at the Parthenon, you could slope three sides...as well as most of the seaside locations. No planes along though on this trip ;-( Between food and beer and yipes! work, just no time. Going thru withdrawals, its been more than two weeks since I flew a sailplane ;-( Nice weather in any case here. Gonna check for a hobby shop tomorrow just for grins!
