Gee Gordy, I'm a LSF level 4 who likes to fly electric sailplanes. Don't put
me down because I like to fly something you don't.

I have a friend that just bought a brand new Ober winch with me. We ordered
3 as a groups and got a discount, but he is no longer interested.

We paid $2200 for everything, he would like $1900. This is as brand new as
they come. Only about 3-4 months old. Less than 10 launches on it. It
comes with the really high end turn around, Winder, battery resistor It
is the Ober EW4 starter kit. The turnaround cables are upgraded to
stainless steel, and a battery resistor bar is added. The winch comes with
a really nice adjustable resistor. But also included is an additional
resistor to be added to the battery.

[RCSE] Hey Chicago, I'm in the area for the 4th, we flying?

2008-06-29 Thread GordySoar
I'll be working around the border to Milwaukee, but can travel if we got a
contest some where...or even a day or soaring or two.

Let me know I head out that way tomorrow from home. I'll be packing some
planes along.

Have to run over to Spokane for a day or so before I get back for the 4th.

[RCSE] I'm okay

2008-06-29 Thread ktlkrn
I've gotten several private emails from concerned people regarding the mid air
collision of two medical helicopters in Flagstaff AZ where at least 7 people
were killed. I am alive and well but a little numb right now.

Many know that I fly medical helicopters for AirEvac a division of PHI, Inc.
I'm based out of Yuma AZ and have the night shift this week. I'm on duty now.
Our company had a fatal accident 3 weeks ago in TX and one of our AZ aircraft
crashed on Friday night injuring the 3 crew members as they were landing at an
accident scene.

The tragedy today was witnessed by some of our employees who were at the
Flagstaff hospital visiting our employees injured Friday.

I am thankful for the many friends I have in the soaring community and the many
emails I've received checking on my welfare. Thank you. For those so inclined
please put these people on your prayer list.
