[RCSE] list of Nostalgai Models... No Super Grand Esprit????

2005-05-02 Thread Craig D. Allen

I only see the Grand Esprit 134 listed but not the 14ft Super Grand
Esprit? Any reason for this or is it just an omission. I flew a 14
footer in the seventies so it should be legal…. Right??? I would hate
to have to cut off my wing tips to fly nostalgia this year :-))

I was not intending to do anything more than get a response from
Barry
to let me know what is going on. I sympathize with the canine
scenario,
but even that didn't take over 2 weeks. Maybe some people can put
up
with a straight lie or two, but I can't. In my business, when I
tell a
customer to expect something and it doesn't come to fruition, I
know I
better get on the the horn to let them know. No excuses. And never,
never would I tell them something that I don't know if I can
deliver or
not. I've learn that mistakes will happen, but it's how we handle
it
that tells people if we care.

If my posting hurt's Barry's business, I apologize. BUT IT IS THE
ABSOLUTE TRUTH. Well not quite. I had ordered Mar 22, not just 2
weeks
ago. Was told I should receive last week. That is all I expect. My
2
calls that got through to him have been very very polite and full
of
understanding. My 10 other calls went unanswered.

When I get no response, I feel like maybe because I am not in the
circle
of friends, I am insignificant to deal with. If that is so, do not
do
business with me. He doesn't have to deal with me. But by
accepting my
money, he has agreed to, whether he knows it or not, to at least
acknowledge me as a customer. Am I wrong to ask this? May be so,
but I
have paid my funds and do come to expect at least some common
courtesy.
Or am I in the wrong business? Maybe I should start in the hobby.
Take
the orders, collect the funds, and ship at my convenience. Oh, and
maybe
take care of close friends first.

I do regret having to post this as I got some idiotic responses,
but
alas, it has gotten results. I got a call from Barry tonight to
tell me
all have been packed and will ship out tomorrow. If it is so, I
will
write and post for all that he came through, even if a little
late.

And to the bone head who told me to get a Gentle Lady ARF as I
seem like
a newbie, my AMA is 327694, what's yours? BTW I have a Full House
Topaz
for sale, send me the money and I will have it out tomorrow :).

 Regards,
 Tuan Le

[RCSE] Stealing someone else's AMA #

2005-04-15 Thread Craig D. Allen

The AMA policy of reusing old AMA #'s just plane sucks!

Is nothing sacred anymore???

It is totally disrespectful to reuse the AMA # of someone who loved
and participated in the early days of this hobby but has since passed
away or is out of the hobby for one reason or another.

Those who take someone else's previously assigned AMA # should burn in
hell. :-)

Because of you I can't get my original AMA #….

[RCSE] 2005 IHLGF June 5 6

2005-01-27 Thread Craig D. Allen

Hello,

As the Official International Pilot Committee Chairman of the 2005
IHLGF. I would like to personally invite any and all pilots no
matter were you live, to please consider coming to beautiful San
Diego Ca. June 5 6 to participate in the 12th annual International
Hand Launch Glider Festival. Here is your chance to fly with the
best pilots in the world.. I will be setting up shade structures
with plenty of chairs and refreshments for all that want them. All
you have to do is show up with your plane and have a great time. The
IHLGF it is the best-run contest period! Even if you come in last
like I did my first year, you will have a great time.

With the dollar at all time lows against most major currencies a
trip to the U.S. is so cheap we are almost giving the country away.
I would love to see the New Zealand gang ( Team Z) come out in
force again this year and maybe drag a few Australians with them. I
challenge you Europeans to come and show us what you got. It would
be wonderful to have an international fly off this year.

I am willing to help out in anyway I can to entice you come
participate in this amazing event. How about some slope soaring at
world famous Torrey Pines or DSing at Parker Mountain… Maybe a trip
to the San Diego Zoo or Sea World.. Bring the whole family and make
it a once in the lifetime vacation.

If you have any questions or need any help setting up your trip
please feel free to contact me.
