I have my own theories on the Post Modernism trend and how it affects

Bravo! What a brilliant post, with deep insights on R/C, the Internet,

RE: [RCSE] Two meter gliders

2004-04-03 Thread Neil Stainton
I calculate your model's wing area is 7.2 sq ft with an aspect ratio of
only 6. Are you sure of the wing area? Big span and low wing loading
mean low induced drag, but all that wetted area (if correct) will
increase the profile drag.

IMO for pure gliders (rather than electric ones) weight isn't important,
wing loading is.

Is it the overall weight that matters or the wing loading? Reason for
asking - my LAR 2M will come in at 5 oz/ft^2 at 36 oz. 21
 oz. will be
unobtainable. Airfoil is the AG36 thinned to 90%.

 Thanks.

RE: [RCSE] Metric System--the REAL last word

If God had meant us to use the metric system, Jesus would
 have had ten disciples.

Or ten fingers.
