[RCSE] JR 9303 rubber duckie antenna
A friend wants to buy a particular type rubber duckie antenna for his JR 9303. I bought one for mine but forgot who I bought it from. I know the antenna is sold for the Stylus transmitter. The antenna does not have a quick disconnect. You have to unscrew the antenna from the transmitter. I bought the base loaded antenna adaptor (Don't by the base loaded antenna. Horizon will sell the adaptor without the antenna) from Horizon and it screws into the radio after you take the back off of the transmitter. Once the adapter is in the transmitter, the rubber duckie screws into the transmitter and it is a perfect fit. Who sells this antenna now? Thanks ! Mr. Dario Brisighella designed a pattern plane called the Viper that won best of show at the 18th Toledo show (1971 or 72) The plans and construction article were published in the American Aircraft Modeler magazine several months after the show. [RCSE] My post regarding epoxy odors
I accidentally deleted the response from the Professor regarding the odors from my epoxy so I can't respond directly. You are correct. The epoxy I am using is at least four, maybe five years old. I have never had epoxy stink up a place like this batch. After the epoxy set up, I tapped part of it for two 4-40 screws. [RCSE] Epoxy odors
I haven't done any building in a while and am I am installing the radio in a new ship. I had to mix up a tiny batch of generic 30 minute epoxy that the local hobby shop sells so I could install the servo tray. You could smell that tiny bit of epoxy throughout my two story house. The smell wasn't overwhelming but you could still smell it. Is there an odorless epoxy on the market I can use for servo mounts and other similar applications/ I'm not talking about glassing wings or building a fuse, just simple installation jobs where a small amount of epoxy is needed. I was looking at the CVRC club website and saw a statement that said the members seem to like the hands free retrievers. What are hands free retrievers and who makes them? Can somebody send a picture of the retriever? Our club uses the Rahm retrievers. They are being modified with a bailing mechanism so you don't have to reach down and place the line on the spool but they are not hands free. I am looking for feedback on the thermal flying / landing qualities of the NYX. I own a NYX but have never flown it. I also owned an Artemis but it somehow found the only tree at our field and decided to land there. I really liked the Artemis. I'm trying to decide whether to trade/sell the NYX and buy an Artemis or possibly a Pike, although I don't realy want to spend the extra dough on a Pike. I am interested in hearing from sailplane pilots who have upgraded from the 8103 to the 9303. I am trying to decide if I want to spend the money for the 9303. I am most interested in what you can do with the 9303 that you can't do with the 8103. I'm not really interested in to comparions with other radios or the JR9X that is sold in other countries.
