The best place is Shredair (www.shredair.com) simply because they are some of
the nicest folks in soaring :-)~

Actually, get it from Dave Reese ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), he's almost as
nice as we are... :o)

We sold his video at SWC, only because Dave himself couldn't make it.

No!
Please buy directly from Dave Reese at [EMAIL PROTECTED].
He worked long and hard on this project, the best damn RC glider/slope/DS/PSS/Foamie
movie to date (Hands down). This ain't no "down stream video".
This is the only movie that will get you all jazzed up about flying in
the middle of winter when there is no flying to be had. You will
not doze off, you will be inspired, you will want to build new gliders
for the upcoming season, you will watch it time and time again and see
something new each time you do. The now infamous "Golden Gate Smoke
Run" by none other than sky burning Scott Hewett with his "Higgins F-20"
is worth the price of the video alone. The man worked hard and long
on this project and it shows. It is not like other videos that have
been "thrown together" and then placed on the market to see what the market
will bear. This is entertainment/education in its purest form and
should be rewarded. The Europeans are going nuts over this thing!
Obviously they know quality when they see it. Buy directly from Dave.
He has a couple of other projects in planning that I guarantee, will
be even better productions. I can hardly wait!

Would Dave not benefit from videos bought from
RadioCarbon Art? Surely he gets at least part of the revenue? RCA
allows purchase with credit card, which would be easier for some
people.

[RCSE] Lift Ticket Video

2001-01-09 Thread Rob Crockett

I bought and watched the video too. Amazing! If you have ever tried to
video R/C sloping, you will all the more appreciate the quality and
creativity of Dave's work here. What's more, this is a saturation slope
video--no little tidbits here and there of sloping--you are thirsty and
drinking from a fire hose with this video. Really a satisfying experience.

We've been plagued lately here by brilliant blue skies and not so much as a
breeze. I've got slopes but no wind. So I've been flying a 34" span
Cavazos Twister for the last couple of months, practicing the horizontal
circles, figure eights, and aerobatics right on the ground to keep up my
stick skills for DS--hopefully the storms will start rolling through
regularly soon. The couple slope trips I've made lately have been salvaged
by this little rocket. In the Twister, I have a 7.2v speed 400 motor, a
Castle Creations Sprite 25 controller, 4.7x4.7 CAM prop, and a good supply
of 8 cell 500AR battery packs that gives a top speed of only about 50mph in
level flight, but I can do all the aerobatics I want at about half throttle
for about 10 minutes flights. I highly recommend it.

One more thing.. Minnesota is sadly lacking for slopes. I guess I'll
just have to live vicariously by watching this video some more.
