RE: [RCSE] Many Thanks to CASL

2008-02-19 Thread Lex Mierop
I've got to echo Larry's statements here; the CASL guys did a great job
making this contest go. The winches were flawless all weekend (I think
there were maybe 3 line breaks after over 1000 launches), with plenty of
power, so props to Rick Bothel and everyone running the winches and
retrievers. Paul Emmerson headed up the landing area crew that
efficiently turned the landing zones around on the second day, and were
always out there. You never had to wait for an official score keeper to
write down you time and landing score. Impound crew were similarly
efficient and as always, the unsung heroes are the guys in the score
tent. Thanks to everyone on a job well done!

Chico - You da man! Not bad for a PR...

I'm looking forward to next year already!

[RCSE] Many Thanks to CASL

2008-02-18 Thread LJolly
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the great folks at CASL,
that made this last weekend so enjoyable. Even though numbers were down,
this was a really fun event that was well run, and turned out to have great
weather.Chico kept the contest going, and all the hard work Rick did on the
winches proved to be the right move. I had Gordy time for me, and was very
impressed with his calling and timing abilities, he really can do more than
slam a
keyboard. There was some international flavor with the addition of Andreas
flying with Mike Smith, and as far as I could see everyone enjoyed a super
weekend of flying and catching up with friends. It was good seeing all of you,
I
will be back next year. Thanks Larry
