If you do buy that (and it looks pretty good!), be sure to read this
page first --

   `20% OFF ONE In-Stock Item'

... might save you $20.

If somebody is looking for a video camera that transmits a signal and
is received on the ground, be sure that if the device uses 2.4 GHz,
that you aren't using a 2.4 GHz (spread spectrum) control system
(Spektrum, XPS, FAAST, etc.)

If both system use 2.4 GHz, even if they're using different parts of
the band, your control range is likely to be greatly reduced. So it
might work OK on the ground, but then you lose control at 200 feet or
something.

If your R/C gear is 72 MHz, things are likely to work, but do pay
extra attention to your range check with the video camera transmitting.

If your video camera is 900 MHz or 5.8 GHz, you're probably fine
whatever your R/C gear is. But still range test it carefully.

[RCSE] On-board digital video equipment--source?

2008-07-03 Thread Tom Nagel

Guys:

One of our (off line) club members is interested in acquiring one of
those small Bic-lighter sized digital video cameras to put on a sailplane or
an electric. Can anyone give me some references to sources for those
things?

Thanks, and a happy 4th to you all.
