RE: [RCSE] unsubscribing

2005-07-25 Thread Lex Mierop
George everyone else:

The list manager's subscribe/unsubscribe have been broken for a while now.
I can handle your requests manually if you let me know about them. We hope
to have this fixed soon, but the server is out of my hands, so all I can do
is keep asking...

George, I'm taking you off right now...

Thanks to all who pointed out to me that my email was formatted in
HTML/RTF. I thought I had my default set to plain text. Problem is
now solved and am leaving the list for the winter while I get my new business up
and running (not enough time to deal with R/C of any kind for the next couple of
months). See ya all in Phoenix area in Feb.

[RCSE] Unsubscribing HOWTO

2003-12-29 Thread Andrew E. Mileski
It appears the info on Mike's RCSE page on subscriptions is incorrect.
Probably a version change or something. The following has been tested.
When you go on vaction, either unsubscribe from the list, or exclude
the list from your out-of-office auto-replys!
Normally unsubscribing is a process of sending a message to:
  [EMAIL PROTECTED]
containing ONLY the following text in the message body (the subject
doesn't matter):
  unsubscribe soaring [EMAIL PROTECTED]
where [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the subscribed e-mail address.
Make sure to turn off HTML, and remove any signature or vcard
attachments. You will be sent a confirmation message IMMEDIATELY with
a code and further instructions; you can just hit the REPLY and SEND
buttons to send the confirmation back as-is.
Subscriptions are of course:
  subscribe soaring [EMAIL PROTECTED]
If you are subscribed through a reflector, like Yahoo! Groups, then
there is a different process.

Re: [RCSE] Unsubscribing

2000-12-28 Thread Dennis Phelan

Dudes,
I've had this problem as I use an auto signature and subscribe
through Yahoo which adds a trailer.

On the line immediately after the "unsubscribe" line, use the "end"
command and the listguy won't be confused by the 'other' stuff. You
need to do it for the authorization thingie also.

Maybe this works for HTML too?

Good luck!

Dennis

Fwd: [RCSE] Unsubscribing

2000-12-28 Thread Joedy Drulia

the tried and true process that I've used for years to
subscribe or unsubscribe won't work now. Ahh, it used to be so easy...

Will someone please help? And yes, I have put the commands in the body,
not
the header, and yes, i have sent the commands to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
It keeps sending me a message that says No valid commands found, or
something
like that.

I've got the same problem as well. I'd like to go back to the digest
versions (which I am now getting from the eGroups list).

Is there a solution to this?

[RCSE] Unsubscribing

2000-07-26 Thread Eric Weder

For those of you who may be interested, I'm unsubscribing for a few weeks. I'm
moving into a brand new house starting tomorrow, then off to the Lethbridge
Airshow August 5-6 where we are putting on a High Power Rocketry demonstration,
then down to Columbus, Ohio for a three week business trip. In the process I'll
be changing my ISP as well.

See you later,
