Rick,
I purchased a Thule cartop ski carrier a year ago
at REI. It is the largest (longest) carrier available,
about $400.00 at that time.
I have not had any complaints, it will take any of
my stuff.
Put a thermometer in it the next time you drive out.
You may be surprised at the temperature inside it.

Re: [RCSE] Thule

2004-03-06 Thread Tom Nakagawa
Al,
Yeah, but is that the "elitist" way to go ? Mine
looks way cool. In fact I have considered the
following options:
   1) 2 pairs of slippers, the middle pair facing
down, the outside pair facing up.
   2) A shark's dorsal fin top middle, with a tail and
pectorial fins... in grey.
   3) A short pair of wings, and a vertical tail, like
a cruise missile.
   4) A large sign "STINGER MISSILE CONTAINER"
   5) A pair of hands and feet like from a manikin
stuck out the sides.
Alas, my composure allowed none, and I have placed
a few Ti Leaves (like the leis), streaming off the end
for good luck.
   Aloha,
   Tom

When you see how many wings and fuselages a Thule will carry along with a sun tent,
etc., and how easy the access to all your stuff is, most will happily pay for the
space and convenience. With a Thule you can stuff it full of finely crafted Baglady
Bags and enjoy a great day of flying!
