same here,  have had upcoming contracts cancelled and newer ones seem to
have dried , will be same for everyone and competition will only increase.
Us Freelance folks in UK  on PAYE short term contracts will end up with
zero support from government so we have no choice but to find new work or
out on the streets! Im taking George Osborne out and perhaps Boris also if
it comes to that for me :P

Re: Material change crashes XSI

Often doing any material parameter changes when render region is actively
rendering also crashes, nevermind changing whole materials! The 'official'
way is to pause/update on mouse up or click. Eg click on viewport to pause
render region , do material change then restart region

There may be some cases it works perfectly fine but been bitten too many
times to not work this way.

Interesting points Andres,  wonder if Vitaly Bulgarov plans on sticking
with Xsi, it looked like he used it on ghost in the Shell, so it is still a
valid design tool choice on contempory film productions in the right hands.
I've tried to maintain a philosophy to use the best tools for the task and
until something better (or faster) came along , Xsi was the tool most often
reached. Lately Houdini has been the go to tool for more complex technical
tasks but Xsi still for rapid prototype modelling, it's muscle memory Still
