Bonjour will severely impact your network performance on Windows. We have a strict policy here to never install anything that requires it. Modo701 would not run without it. Some employees have installed Modo701 at home and have noticed all kinds of network problems afterwards. On 17-Dec-14 10:41, Rob Wuijster wrote: Nope sorry, it has been a while. can’t see how Apple could possibly need that – this market is much too small (+professional, specialized and difficult) to offer anything to a giant such as Apple. They need an ‘app’ they can sell in the millions, and that runs on phones and tablets, and doesn’t require any thinking by the user. Re: Modo Sale again 40% off
Yes indeed, sorry if I wasn't clear in my sarcasm, those are the exact reasons why it -didn't- really-really need to buy (and kill) shake. They bought it, made it for Mac (and Linux) only, made a version or two, and then ditched it. Not unlike Soft which also wasn't really-really needed by a company with already 2+ DCC's. (could have bought Naiad to make an ICE clone without sacrificing Soft, it wouldn't have had more or less chances of becomeing a good clone) But I don't understand ditching (compared to other ways of getting rid of things) , except of course when ditching is the reason to buy something, any of which I find very-very selfish. Hopefully TheFoundry will find a better home who will value their products (and the communities around them) and that they will be complimentary to what they already offer.
