[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Cool story bro' ...
Sorry, this post is just one of those random ones, but things have moved on so much. I have to take my LMS hosting laptop to work as I need the bandwidth to sync/backup my music collection to Amazon Cloud Drive (moving from OneDrive) but I still needed a local server for at least on-line radio in the house. I started fretting about leaving a desktop PC on and installing LMS and all that. Then "lightbulb!" ... I have a Raspberry Pi 3 doing CCTV recording... and voila, there's a Debian ARM package, wget ..., dpkg -i ..., web access, done. That is a lot simpler and quicker than it was few years ago, and my RPi3 is now doing even more than it used to for very little cost. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify error
Yes another account of mine. Ok, good to know. I first thought there were MAC address conflicts again. I am wondering whether other people have fallen for this trap. Building a pCp player on their own network and then moving it elsewhere to find it wont pick up Spotify. Good point. Will try to keep this in mind. I hadn't realised that the pCp in question had registered itself at mySB. An easy fix when you realise but as I said above the log doesn't tell you. I tripped over the reason only because I had JiveLite and thought to compare the menu on that to the web gui. The web UI wouldn't show that message? On the 7 day thing. What is happening ? Is this telling LMS to refresh the player list once a week or what ? I said it was unusual as I am used to dealing with DNS TTL which are much shorter. It depends: when dealing with an account which doesn't have any genuine SB, then the polling interval is longer. Login should still happen. The reason being that the polling initially was to sync states between LMS and mysb. But if you don't own a player which can connect to mysb.com directly, then this isn't really important. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I would probably start with the "flc pcm" rule that is in CONVERT.CONF: Code: flc pcm * * # FT:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v} [flac] -dcs --force-raw-format --endian=little --sign=signed $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ And amend it in CUSTOM-CONVERT.CONF to do what you want: Code: flc pcm * * # FT:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v} [flac] -dcs --force-raw-format --endian=little --sign=signed $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ | [sox] -q -t raw - -t raw - -b 16 -r 44100 You might be able to do what you want without invoking SoX: Code: flc pcm * * # FT:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v} [flac] -dcs --force-raw-format --endian=little --sign=signed --bps=16 --sample-rate=44100 $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ If this works, you can add your other switches if needed. Michael I did the above on purpose to resolve an issue elsewhere. It has pointed to the fact that the instance of piCorePlayer in question was connected to another account which was stopping things from working but I only tripped over that as the issue because I used JiveLite and it gave me a human friendly error message. First are you sure it is transcoding in the manner expected - get a log with player.source set to DEBUG. Second, I think this issue may be solved by uPNP bridge plugin setup - this problem should be posted in the uPNP bridge plugin thread as I think Philippe handles "transcoding" issues as well (i.e. what capabilities are sent to LMS regarding the player abilities in your case it should send just 44.1Khz and then no need for special custom convert file) bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107012 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
