Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes I have one of my laptops but iOS devices are off so I would like to have Sleep function in LMS. Hi friend! Have you already heard the news from our friends? It's the best news I've heard lately. You may read it here http://ll.educationabsurd.net Faithfully, P. Some people could not afford an apple a day for the teacher. Some could. Some could afford much more. The point is that there's some line somewhere, and that line is different for everyone. Someone may be willing to do much more than I am to get ahead. And I might consider that "unfair". But I genuinely believe it will catch up with them. And if it doesn't, I don't care - nothing is fair. I will work to the level that I think is right, and I will do the things I think are appropriate to get what I want/need. I think we all are in the same boat, and I don't necessarily need to project my hangups on others. (That's not a criticism, just an explanation about why I don't care at all about the affair). Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Raspberry Pi mit volumio & LMS -> LMS is di
Since good advice did not solve a problem, I helped myself. My last question was: do you need additional patches for an LMS installation on Rasbian, as recommended in several older descriptions*. I would have liked to have a statement from a skilled expert. I still had a RasbPi in stock and therefore simply installed the current version Rasbian. After the necessary basic configuration (language, time, memory usage, keyboard and fixed IP**) I installed LMS 7.9.0 and ... it runs stably and cleanly without the I still PHP etc. had to patch. After some attempts I have also integrated my music library on the NAS via mount e.g. fstab entry and on top an additional cache directory on the NAS. The LMS music database moves to this cache next, so that read/write operations on the SD card remain as low as possible. Thus, I have created a reference system and can now compare this to the corrupt LMS installation on Volumio-Distro after restart/reboot a succesful installation. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Search No Longer Works?
If anyone else has this problem, that would be the first thing I would try: disable that plugin. YMMV Nope, wrong advise. You should do what I asked you to do twice: check your log files. They probably would have told you that the scanner crashed during the creation of the fulltext index. Which caused the search failure as well as the "infinite" scan duration. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Search No Longer Works?
Reviving this just because after all of this time of not being able to do simple searches, I found out completely by accident what is keeping me from doing searches: the "Full text search" plugin. I disabled it last night for a completely different issue and for the first time in almost two years, the simpler method (and more responsive for me, anyway) of searching now works. If anyone else has this problem, that would be the first thing I would try: disable that plugin. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Error in the command line interface
Unfortunately this is not what happens. when the username/password is wrong the server actually sends "login user **" and THEN terminates the connection. This could be simply a documentation problem obviously. I considered it a documentation issue and fixed that one. It's just surprising me how many documentation issues showed up recently. As if people were starting to actually read it! :-) BTW: I wouldn't use the raw CLI anyway. Use json/rpc instead. It's much easier to handle the results, as they come as structured data (json), rather than a large amount of data you'd have to parse yourself. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

AFAIK Synology only adds a #recycle folder in the root of the share (e.g /music/#recycle). Moving your music to a subfolder in the share might help ( e.g /music/subfolder). Is this a Synology specific thing? I'm asking because we already have some system specific "blacklists" for file and folder names. We even have one for Synology devices (https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/blob/public/7.9/Slim/Utils/OS/Synology.pm#L86). Maybe adding that name would handle this just fine.
