OK I thought as a much but there have been threads where users with
external access had their systems hacked typically system settings
changed or alarm set to go off very loud at time like 3:00am

There are two builds for darwin - x86_64 and "normal" - I presume you
know which one (64bit vs 32bit ?). In each there is flac, faad, sox and
wvunpack. LAME is a separate install.

Right, there is an SB3 at my office and I also access using iPeng on my
iPhone while driving. Many times I'll setup NO ACCESS so I can see the
IP address, then add it to the 'approved' addresses. Regardless, looks
like a clean rebuild is happening on Friday!

Let me confirm with you guys that LMS 7.9 does install all necessary
codecs EXCEPT LAME, is that still true?

Thanks again for the help. I'll submit a log once the new system is
installed and running.

Having your playlist folder on your NAS should be fine - in fact its
better than a local USB stick (the LAN on a Pi shares the USB bus and
can have "issues").

Have you tried writing to the playlist folder via a Windows PC using the
same credentials as you have put for the mount in the Pi ?

C-3PO needs a special version of SOX to handle DSD (see the plugin

I start squeezelite-R2 with these args -a 40:3:: -f
/var/log/squeezeboxserver/squeezelite.log -r 192000-192000

When I use the plug in settings I try to pick the DSD items, but it's

What's the problem with DSD upsampling ?

Oh... you might need to copy Image/Scale.pm from your build environment,

ok thanks, here is the output:

Code:

Server:
  Image::Scale:

  Compilation failed in require at (eval 98) line 1.
  BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 98) line 1.

  To fix this problem you have several options:
  1. Install the latest version of the module(s) using CPAN: sudo cpan
Some::Module
  2. Update the module's package using apt-get, yum, etc.
  3. Run the .tar.gz version of Logitech Media Server which includes all
required CPAN modules.

I had the same problem before but i didn't found a solution how to
downgrade a CPAN module.

The log has the strange discontinuities and corrupted log entries as far
back as april. They are not as common but I believe that is because
logging wasn't active compared to enableing player.source.

There are also many other unusual entries. A clean install would be
good ideas. Make sure system start and library clean & rescan have no
errors. Do not to install plugins such as C3PO and Raopbridge and
upnpbridge until you are happy that you can play files to players. Then
install a plugin one at a time and retest.

The discontuity seems to be due to a problem with log file and buffers

processes writing to log, plugin with different log setting etc..

Your log also has a number of other entries that would should be checked
