I then had to connect to my music share on a Qnap TS121 NAS :( I re-swapped the cards and copied the addition I had made to fstab (just to see what I had done) Googled search for a while to find the original instructions I had used https://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianFAQ#How_do_I_mount_directories_from_other_Linux.2FUnix.2FBSD_servers.3F__How_do_I_mount_an_NFS_share.3F Made the suitable adjustments to suite my IP and share names and had music playing in a very short time. Sorry, misunderstood, I have 7.9.1 installed on a ReadyNAS, not on the QNAP. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bought QNAP TS251+ and alreay regret it...
Renaming the file is way more easy than "fiddling" with an editor to adapt SSOTS upgrade routine. But if you already have 7.9.1 installed don't bother. But then I don't really understand what answers you hopes to get. karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107971 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

"If you succeded, bear in mind that the bash coming with SSOTS is vulnerable and you should exchange it. " Right. Clear as an atumn day. Not. No, I have 7.9.1 installed "BASH version is vulnerable and technically should be upgraded which is a bit of a fiddle." Right. No fiddle. The instruction above with the container stuff seems to create trouble, looking at the thread. Should have gone for a Netgear instead. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bought QNAP TS251+ and alreay regret it...
Do you have LMS 7.7.2 already installed? If not, try this one:http://download.qnapclub.de/qpkg/logitechmediaserver/LogitechMediaServer_7.7.2_x86.zip. If that worked, you can continue. If not and you don't have running installation of LMS on your new QNAP, I'm out of ideas. :( After that download 'the latest 7.9.1 gnuzipped tape archive (tgz) for all architectures' (http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/7.9/sc/a519d5e/logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-1504317335.tgz) and rename it from "logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-1504317335.tgz" (for example) to "squeezeboxserver-7.8.1-1504317335.tgz" or "squeezeboxserver-7.8.11-1504317335.tgz" or so. The file name only matters for the SSOTS installation routine. Save the file in your QNAPS /Public directory, open SSOTS (your.QNAP.ip:9099). Then choose UPGRADE and follow the instructions. If some steps fail, come back here. If you succeded, bear in mind that the bash coming with SSOTS is vulnerable and you should exchange it. karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107971 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bought QNAP TS251+ and alreay regret it...
Did you check the QNAP forum? Basically you just download SSOTS and install that 'manually' from the app manager, and then follow instructions to install 7.9. There is some issue with the fact that BASH version is vulnerable and technically should be upgraded which is a bit of a fiddle, but if you only use your NAS internally (i.e. Do not expose externally) then you probably do not need to worry about that. Yes it will take a couple of hrs but once installed it just works. You could also put it on a RPi and use the NAS as a file server to a Pi based LMS but that's hassle too imho and another box. Upgrades to LMS require you to rename the downloaded file but again this is straightforward. Instructions in the QNAP forum are very good. If you get stuck ask for help. In theory all the cache file in the Cache directory (see WebUI Settings/Info tab for full directory path) can be deleted but I only usually delete anyhting with an extension ".db" - they will be recreated (e.g. image & artwork cache) or data will be refetched from network as needed. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107968 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Raspberry Pi 2 - maxxed out cpu
Hi, I've been using the SB for a couple of years now with a Pi as the server. Now I get a very sluggish and unusable system. When I look I see the squeeboxserver process is taking all the CPU. I think it coincided with a plugin update. Any idea how I can track down what is using the CPU please. thanks Tom TurnipMan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9739 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107968 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
