I've been reading a lot about what you guys are doing and it sounds great... the only reason I haven't tried piCorePlayer already is that I'm using berryboot because I really want to have a copy of Raspbian on my SD card as well, and I haven't been able to find a berryboot compatible img file of piCorePlayer anywhere. Since making one myself is beyond my knowledge, any chance you could point me in the right direction there? Is there a berryboot (squashfs image) or are you guys likely to be making one available? I read about flac and sox but not sure how to test it. Could you provide examples how to test them? The --logifle and other settings are already set inside squeezeboxserver.service under systemd and not by me actually. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Raspberry Pi 3B+ Woes
I would like to install LMS on my Raspberry Pi 3B+ which is fitted with a HiFiberry DAC+ and a 7" touch screen. My goal is to get the Jivelite interface running so that I can use it as a digital media player on my home stereo playing local audio files on a USB drive. I have been having a lot of trouble installing it on Raspbian Stretch. I've tried the debian packages for 7.9.1, 7.9.2, and the nightly builds for 7.9... none of them will install. I get the error "libio-socket-ssl-perl is not installed." I also tried an early build (version 7.7 I think) and this installed and ran but the service log showed that LMS was constantly restarting and it was not possible to access the interface on port 9000. Is it even possible to install it on the Pi 3B+ ? I read a post somewhere that the ARM chip has a Perl conflict. I'm a complete Linux newbie, so this is very frustrating. I saw a suggestion somewhere that running buildme.sh might work... but I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Any help would be appreciated enormously. Cheers! Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS cannot open and play links under Radio
First test the transcoding applications - if they don't run then you have the version of LMS installed is not right one for your DietPi OS. There is an error being logged regarding sox so you shoudl check it out. Lateboomer wrote: > I am not sure yet how to redirect sever log. I am not sure yet how to redirect sever log. The permission issue, should I group squeezeboxserver user to audio group? Currently it is belong to nogroup. The transcoding executables provided by LMS may not run on you DietPi Check by running from a shell prompt /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/armhf-linux/sox /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/armhf-linux/flac bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109056 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I can't play any links under Radio section even I have add in the TuneIn Radio plugin to the LMS. If I copy and paste a radio stream url to a "Tune In Url" field to search and play, it will play correctly. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS cannot open and play links under Radio
I have never used Dietpi as when I have looked at it I think "jack of all trades, master of none" and the install procedure seems a convoluted process:(. But that is just my opinion and why I suggested piCorePlayer (you'll get a much more up to date LMS). But anyway, can you post a couple of the radio links you are trying to play and I'll give them a whizz:) Ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109056 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Any messages in the server.log file ? The issue is whether LMS is crashing or just getting blocked wait for a reply from RadioTune which provides the Radio station data. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109056 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I have installed correctly for Squeezelite at BBB. It is because I can play from local music usb drive connected to LMS and output to Squeezelite BBB without any issue; perfect sounding and all playback controls are working. It is when I tried to click the Stations links under the Radio section which then it was not able to open and at the same time caused it to lose connection with Squeezelite. I have installed the latest LMS which I downloaded from Logitech site but also it behaves the same. I am sorry I didn't provide enough info on my LMS settings. After I back from work, I will paste my settings here. Not much of a help from me, I'm afraid, but a couple of suggestions. Can you verify the Squeezelite client is installed and working correctly on the Beaglebone? If it is, then my suggestion would be to get another sd card (or use the one you have) and run (the latest and greatest)LMS on pICorePlayer.
