Qlms.config. But a # in front off nightly and update, or change 1 into
0. Then save the file, and auto update is disabled.

QTS will o force the upgrade, but if you do a manual start of QLMS from
command prompt then the default behavior is to download latest nightly
and install it.

I have a QNAP NAS on which unfortunately the LMS has not been running
for a long time. I have the QNAP version 4.3.3.0663
but can't get it installed on port 9099 anymore. Slowly I don't know
which last working version I can use. And now SSOTS makes me even more
mosquitoes when uninstalling.
Can anyone maybe help me, please? Maybe even a German guy that would
even be beneficial.
I am at the end of my wisdom! :-(((
Thanks a lot!

It would be helpful to your cause to at least provide some basic info
about the server itself, version etc. In my setup Custom Browse uses the
playlist directory (that's the default setting, IIRC). Your problems
could be caused by permissions, but it's all guesswork at this point
until you provide more information.

Hmm - Struggled with this and have made some progress but sure I'm
making it harder than it should be?

The way I have it working now is to delete the favorite - recreate it
with the name correct.

Then point at the graphic (which I have discovered doesn't like spaces
or dashes)

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS on HDD, max playlist size 100

2018-09-18 Thread shanepg

Hi All,

My Q is with LMS on HDD can I increase the playlist size beyond 100?

A couple of weeks ago I retrieved my SBT from storage (after 5 years),
couldn't find the NAS, so I've been running it with my WD passport HDD
with LMS. It's been working a treat and very pleased. TBH, I don't
remember a lot of the details of how I set this up! I very recently
installed the Tidal app, again it works really well. I've now made some
playlists and found that a max of 100 songs will load. I've found a
couple of guides that mention a 100 song playlist max with HDD setup
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph..._is_100_Tracks
And I've found several threads on this forum about increasing the
playlist size by logging into LMS Settings> Advanced> something (!) but
I don't think I can do this with LMS on the HDD.
Do I need to find my NAS and have this setup to have playlists of >100
tracks? (As the link above states).

Thank you,
Shane

Performance is much better than the old SSOTS solution.

Just recently I made a stop & start to retrieve the last update as a

I made an upgrade from 7.9.2 something to latest 7.9.2 1536946607

It seems as the latest LMS 7.9.2 need some new libraries to support

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Avoid macOS System Preferences dialog from stealing focus

2018-09-18 Thread MrC

What are the correct settings to prevent the LMS System Preferences
dialog from stealing focus away from the app I'm running. I may be
playing a full screen game tournament, say, and a software update for
LMS is available and I'm yanked onto another virtual screen unexpectedly
and I have to quickly switch back to the game and attempt to recover.

I want to be notified of the update, but not have it steal the focus
from my current app.

TIA

hi,

since i am running a debian lms for a very long time i can tell that i
never got any real isuse with the pure lms.

take a screenshoot with all your enabled plugins remove all of them and
add one plugin after the next until your lms hangs.
After that disable all plugins again and check the hanging plugin alone.

Because on some older Qnap nassystem, there was a problem with missing
libaries.

At the moment working on a new releases, where those will be included.
But it needs a lot off investigation, reading and testing.

Hope to releases it, in a few weeks.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS crashes very often

2018-09-18 Thread caplam

Hello every one
Since several months my lms crashes very often (at least once a day). I
reinstalled it with no effect on stability.
It's installed on a debian stretch VM (esxi 5.5), last 7.9.1 build. The
behaviour was the same with 7.9.2 builds.
I was about to post in shairtunes plugin thread but i'm not sure this
plugin is responsible.
When lms crashes i can see dozen of squeezeboxserver processes running.

I mainly use jeedom, spotty, shairtunes2W and upnpbridge plugins.
My players are 1 squeezebox3, 1 squeezebox boom, 2 sonos play1, 1
zettaly (sort of android tab with speakers with squeezeplayer).
For now logs aren't very helpful. When i have a crash the server.log can
fill up to 2Gb, not very handy.
Is there someone to point me in the right direction especially for
knowing what to log?
