[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Creating playlists from cue files in LMS 7.9.2
I'm pretty new to and inexpert in creating playlists. I can manage it pretty well in LMS 7.9.2 from albums with each track in an individual Flac or APE files. When I try, however, to add an individual track from an album constituted by a single large Flac or APE file plus a cue sheet I end up adding the whole album instead of the particular track. Is there any way to add single tracks from albums linked to cue files or do I have to split the large Flac/Ape file first with a program like Cue Splitter. Ok, I went back to basics and tried to install LMS 7.9.2-1 to CentOS 8 Fresh install of CentOS 8.1 as virtual machine. Small webserver, no GUI. Apply all updates. Then # wget http://downloads.slimdevices.com/LogitechMediaServer_v7.9.2/logitechmediaserver-7.9.2-1.noarch.rpm # dnf localinstall ./logitechmediaserver-7.9.2-1.noarch.rpm Automatically installs many required perl modules as expected. Disable firewalld.service to ensure no unwanted dropped packets. Stir and sweeten to taste and local conditions. # systemctl start logitechmediaserver.service Cannot start LMS. Yes we've been experiencing skips and buffering. We are in the US and have a pretty fast internet (200mb). Though it sounds more like an occasional stutter -- it was in one part of a song and then it is in another. We rarely use Pandora, but i noted the issue last night. I'm running LMS in an unRAID docker. 29496 I would like to have something a little more friendly than "14f53de05a80" show up in iPeng, and SqueezePlay, etc... I've asked the maintainer of the LMS unRaid docker, but he's suggested I ask here. This really is the hostname, given by the underlying system. But you can change LMS' name to something else in the Basic Settings/Media Library Name. I have the plugin enabled on my system, I use it mainly to enable loudness on one of my players, although I havent try with the actual convolver. Could you add an info message when QLMS is -downloading- a new version? I thought that the latest QLMS crashed today because I didn't expect a new nightly (but then the "installing" info popped up). [[[ Done next version, will show a message in webgui of QNAP ]]] What's the difference between stopping and restarting QLMS and restarting LMS using the WebUI (for example when there's a new version for a plugin).
