Thank you so much for everyone's help. I totally missed the settings button in the bottom right hand corner. Would have saved a lot of messing about yesterday importing favourites from my pc but it was all a good learning curve. col996s's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60495 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113317 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Might be a few settings you need to make. I don't know how to work with WinSCP. When I fill in my IP-adress I have to continue with a username and password which are unknown to me. Awesome stuff. Glad I managed to do it all correctly! I've only had LMS running for a few weeks and had no idea the OMLI was coming so was very pleasantly surprised when I saw it in v8. I guess I will keep my eye on the changelogs for the nightly releases. Please give it another try. Once Patch installer is installed, then reboot radio, then go to: o*Settings > Advanced > Patch Installer* (*Don't* go to Settings > Advanced > Applet Installer.) 3. on that Patch Installer menu, search and find: "version comparison fix" and install that patch. If I understand your question correctly, it displays any albums that I own by that artist separately, then one misnamed "mega album" containing all the Deezer imported albums for that artist in one. Okay, understand. Have placed an order for a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB and plan to go for a piCorePlayer setup to run my 4 duet's. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Raspberry pi
col996s - There is no equivalent for the Pi (a LinuxOS based system) for the Windows Control Panel application. There are no "tabs" to be seen. Typically one starts/stops LMS from a command line terminal. Or, if one has used a product like piCorePlayer or Max2Play (both created for Raspberry Pis) one uses the webpage those systems provide to start/stop LMS. For example, I use pi/CorePlayer on my rPi3. To start/stop LMS I run a web browser and I go to the piCorePlayer UI at http://192.168.1.67 (<-- not 192.168.1.67:9000) and the piCorePlayer webpage loads on which is an LMS section with buttons I use to start/stop LMS. Back when I ran LMS on a Linux desktop, I'd use a terminal application to run the installed init script to start/stop LMS. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 8 Music Folder is empty
I installed LMS on a new separate W10 box and I'm seeing the same issue. LMS works fine when first installed and the music library is configured. Then I start setting it up to suit my system and preferences and it falls down. I just did a clean re-install and its working. I'd like to backup the configuration file every time I make a settings change so that I can more easily revert, and hopefully isolate the problem. What is the path to the file on windows? If you go into the LMS web interface and edit the favourites you should see an "Import" at the bottom. I presume (but not tried) that the file that the .opml file that you rescue from your old system can be loaded in to the new one using this (which might be easier than finding out how to transfer files to Unix). I never updated pcp because installing pcp/lms took me (years ago) very very long and I think I read updating is not very simple. In the past I installed it via an SD-card. I don't know how much configuration you have to transfer. But with a recent pCP LMS is installed easily, with some mouse clicks. I'd definitely recommend taking the step. Your favourites are contained in one single file called favourites.opml Copy the file from your laptop to the correct location on your Pi and than change the ownership and permissions on the file to match other files in the folder on the Pi. Then restart LMS. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.0.0 released!
Hi all, I have problems updating LMS 7.9.3 - 1597753178 on my Rasberry Pi/PicorePlayer (3.21). I tried to update via PiCorePlayer but that didn't work. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.0.0 released!
great thanks, I sent him a small goodie. Now trying to find how to change the docker hostname so it's not the ugly hex string in Squeeze Ctrl app. Thanks! And you can change the server name in LMS Settings. It's not the host name, but the name exposed by LMS. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Raspberry pi
I have had the LMS running successfully on my laptop for awhile but want it running on a raspberry pi. I have successfully manged to get it running on a zero. I don't want to play music just Internet radio. I can see it running on my pc by running the ip address of the pi followed by :9000. The issue I got how do I transfer my favourites which are on the Lms on my pc to my raspberry pi? I am using a squeezebox classic. Thank you. col996s's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60495 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113317 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
