I have not been able to replicate a "hang" while trying to get into Spotty using either the Web UI or iPeng, both of which I've tried to reproduce the error numerous times and unable to get the "hang", rather things work fine. Then went back to "My Apps" (while a song was still playing from music library) and when I tried to get to "Spotty", it did hang there (but I did not see the circular gauge, perhaps because the song was playing from music lib, instead just hung at "Spotty" and was unable to control/navigate away). So, I pressed and held LEFT on the remote and after about 4 to 5 seconds of holding it, the Classic did respond by going back to the menu where we select the LMS by name/IP. When I selected RIGHT from there it hung at "Connecting to server..." but that's it... When I went back to the Win 10 PC, I saw that there was a dialog alerting me that "Spotty.exe" had crashed. Thoughts? I did try another computer running LMS (a MacBook Pro ) and wasn't able to reproduce the issue, so seems like it's something relating to this Win 10 PC running LMS that has surfaced recently, since it worked fine for many, many months. I'd like to figure out and fix the issue on this PC (instead of switching to another machine to host LMS) bc this PC is always on/running, so it's the ideal machine to run LMS and be ready when I am to play music from the Classic SB. Given that I can reliably reproduce the issue, does anyone know of what logging options we might want to look at or other diagnostics I can do to try to figure out where/why things are getting hung up and if it might be related to something timing out/expiring? The windows machine is set to never go to sleep and it does not. And yes, the workaround I mentioned was that I leave the room that has the squeezebox classic in it (hanging at the point where it's about to go to the Spotty plugin and has the circular visual on screen), go to the room with the Win 10 PC in it that is running LMS, open the web control page, turn off the power to the SB using the soft power button in the upper right of the web page, then turn the power back on using the same soft button on the web page, then go back to the Squeezebox in the other room and all works fine. One more bit of info, when the Classic SqueezeBox hangs, it no longer accepts any command from the remote (ie: I can't go back, or turn power on or off using the remote control of the SB), until I've done the workaround I mention (above) from the web control page of the LMS. Hi, I've been running LMS on windows 10 for a long time. I have one active plugin, Spotty, which I use to play Spotify on my Classic Squeezebox, which is connected to the LMS running on win 10. Have had this same setup for a long time and been using Spotty for about a year, but in the last couple months an issue has surfaced. The issue is that when the Classic Squeezebox is turned off for about an hour or more and I turn it on to use it again, when I go to "My Apps" and select "Spotty", it just hangs with the word Spotty still on the screen and the circular graphic spinning next to it indefinitely. It will never recover from this "hang" as long as I've waited (I admit I have just given up after 5 to 6 hours). What I have noticed will workaround the issue is if (while it is hanging) I go to my win 10 PC where LMS is running, open the web control page and turn the power of the Classic off and on again, then I am able to go right into the Spotty plugin and use it as normal. Here's more info about the setup: Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1488878280 @ Wed Mar 8 14:37:44 CUT 2017 Operating system: Windows 10 - EN - cp1252 Platform Architecture: 8664 Perl Version: 5.14.1 - MSWin32-x86-multi-thread Audio::Scan: 0.95 Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) I have asked Michael in the Spotty specific forum for any advice, but we were unable to figure anything out and it may be because the issue is happening prior to the Spotty code, which is why I'm asking here. Does anyone have any ideas what might be happening or how I might diagnose what is causing the "hang". Given the fact that it only happens after turning off the classic squeeze box *and waiting about an hour*, seems like it may be related to some timeout or token expiration, but welcome anyone's thoughts on next steps.
