However, when I tried it on Readynas RN314, it appears to running, but the server can not be found on the network, unless I add a state directory: -v :/srv/squeezebox \ This is command I ran, which did not work: docker run -it \ --net=host \ --restart=always \ --name lms2 \ -v "/data/Docker/state":"/config":rw \ -v "/data/Music":"/music":ro \ -v "/data/Music/playlist":"/playlist":rw \ -v "/etc/localtime":"/etc/localtime":ro \ -v "/etc/timezone":"/etc/timezone":ro \ -p 9000:9000/tcp \ -p 9090:9090/tcp \ -p 3483:3483/tcp \ -p 3483:3483/udp \ lmscommunity/logitechmediaserver If I add a local state directory it is fine. It also displays Chinese correctly. tigs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64358 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114873 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I don't have other clients. so far, I can only see the Chinese characters properly displayed on the transporter screen with "larsks' image" based images. This is what I meant by "support. Right now, there are only two such images available: Apnar/ligitech-media-server joschi/lms Both of these are based on larsks original image. I am using the same host - DS920+. It appears to me this is image-dependent. I have tried about 10 other images including the official one, none would dispaly Chinese properly on the transporter. Don't waste time trying to get it to run on > that NAS. Hi there! hope all is well! I have a few questions and thought you might be able to answer. I am using the transport. 1. not all docker images are the same. I have played around quite a number of different images. The size of these images varies greatly from image to images. the official LMS community build is only 200 some Mbs. some others are as big as 900's mbs. What causes this differences in size? 2. Most of the images do not support asian characters, including the official LMS build. Some showed scrambled characters, some showed phonetic form, while very few can display these asian characters correctly. There are two available images that support asian characters. They both are built based on the image originally created by larsks. Larsks original image is no longer available. Can the official images be built to include these supports? 3. Do you have any idea whether picore player LMS supports asian characters or not? Thanks for your support. tigs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64358 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114873 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Unfortunately, the lms packages were already removed. Does anyone have a copy of the latest top share? I have DS918+ and believe it is x86-64 version. I will try to give the raspberry Pi a try. It would be nice this can be supported across all platforms in the future. I used to have a synology and it has full support for the Chinese Chars, including the community built version. I have decided to change the NAS. Knowing QNAP supports LMS, I bought one. Unfortunately, just realized it was not officially supported any more. There was a community version and it does not support unicode either. So far, i have tried: Vortexbox - no support for uni code Daphile - no unicode support Windows - perfect support Mac OSX - perfect support Synology - perfect support QNAP - no unicode support ReadyNAS - no unicode support PiCoreplayer will be my next attempt. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Can someone confirm the LMS that came with piCoreplayer can display unicode chars
Hi there, I am deciding to switch to the LMS that comes with the picoreplayer and rpi. I am currently using the readynas. The version with readynas does not display unicode chars like Chinese. I would like to have someone confirm the picoreplayer can do that before purchase. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LogitechMediaServer for Qnap x86_64 with qts 4.2 or higher
Thanks, @digimaster for creating this simple package for QNAP users. I am a new QNAP user, switched from synology. There has never been an issue with synology NAS running LMS. It has not been easy with QNAP, which is odd. This package fills that gap. However, I have been unable to display unicode on my transporter. The LMS runs on a TVS-471-i3 with 16GB of RAM. I had no such problem with LMS running on a Synology NAS. Here is the thread where users reported exactly the problem and solution; https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103014-Unicode-chars-not-displayed-on-the-Transporter-with-the-latest-LMS-7-9/page2 I can not by myself to solve this, as it is too techinical. Would you be able to release a fixed version? Basically the problem is the Transport displays Pinyin, an English translation of Chinese character. It is scrambled codes. thanks tigs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64358 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108292 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
