Ah, OK, I have always used dpkg and didn't realise that apt could be used to install a local file... In case it helps others, upgrading from an older 8.2.1 nightly on arm Debian buster, I had to install an additional dependency: libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl tw99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51684 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117012 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

What benefit do you think a "hi end" streamer will give you if you're not going to make any use of the streamer's own software ecosystem ? If you say you're committed to continue with LMS, then you won't do any better than a Pi4 based streamer with a high performing external DAC (which doesn't have to be expensive, as you know from the Khadas...) ---- tw99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51684 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115607 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS into DLNA/UPNP end point: Real world experiences
I use the uPNP/DLNA bridge with a couple of different endpoints. It works pretty well (including artwork display, native player controls and LMS controls), but it is perhaps slightly flakier than using a native player. There are a lot of settings to play with which might improve matters, but any issues are still rare enough that I haven't bothered. ReplayGain doesn't work though, if that's important to you. tw99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51684 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115607 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Thanks for the supported release Michael. The streaming library integration makes a huge difference. I've just upgraded from an early 8.0 nightly that I'd been running for months, to the latest 8.0.1 nightly, and the deezer scanning bug mentioned earlier does seem to be fixed. tw99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51684 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113282 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

LMS 8 dated sometime in May, builtin Random Mix. Start a "Song" playlist, first track from my local library starts playing. I then select a Spotify track as "Play Next". I didn't see the problem, although admittedly I didn't let the songs play all the way through, but ffwd'd to near the end. ---- tw99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51684 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112623 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I'm running LMS and some other server applications on a PI4 in a standard case, just with a simple heatsink on the processor. pi@helix:~ $ vcgencmd measure_temp temp=58.0'C So on that basis I don't think there's an issue. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 7.9.2 released
I've just installed this on a Raspberry PI (latest debian buster), and I'm having some problems with it. The management interface of the server comes up OK and I can make configuration changes there. However the player interface doesn't come up, and just hangs at the "Loading Logitech Media Server" spinner at the URL http://servername:9000/settings/server/wizard.html.
