Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Connecting remotely - no input for ip address?
Thank you for the help. I can't believe how retarded that was. I dunno what stumped me on something. Maybe it was the 3digits in everything. I dunno. I got it going now though on one of her last days there. Haha.. But yea, the hospital has straight up guest wifi, no password or anything, you get right out. Pretty awesome. kllngtme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30198 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106294 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Connecting remotely - no input for ip address?
And double check your external IP as seen from the outside of your LAN whatsmyip is one service that provides that . It's you own lans external IP you want to punch in to the radio . And make sure that you vpn setup or portforward is good , then it would probably work . I'm a bit surprised that an institution like a hospital has such friendly network policy . Many places like hotels have some pop up authentication page that you to press agree on and that makes it impossible to connect a Squeezebox directly Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. That's pretty much what I said when I was setting it up... I "should" be able to do this... 000-002 is all you get the selection to choose from in my case. And it's on two different Radios. Even if I wanted to use a 192.168.1.4 I wouldn't be able to even get past the first number. haha. 1 is it. I can't select the number 9. kllngtme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30198 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106294 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

That's only for the first digit. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Connecting remotely - no input for ip address?
ok so to be clear, my router is good. This has nothing to do with being able to connect or port forwarding.. This has to do with literally not being able to put my IP address in. All there is to select from is 0, 1, and 2. That's it. No other numbers are available. For example. If my IP address was 100.56.99.127 or something(I made it up). I would not be able to get past 100. There is no input to even put the number 56. I can't select anything other than 0, 1, and 2. When you scroll through what should be numbers 0-9, and there is is 0,1,2,0,1,2,etc. I've rebooted and everything. It's nothing to do with my server or ports on my router being forwarded. I have another Radio and verified it's the same behavior on the other Radio as well and that Radio is at home. It literally has nothing to do with the server as the radio is already connected to my server. It's just when you goto put in an IP address of another remote server, there's no way to do it unless your IP only consists of 0's, 1's, and 2's. I can take a picture if you'd like later.. kllngtme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30198 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106294 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

(and keep in mind that opening your router to the outside world can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, or even if you do!). [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Connecting remotely - no input for ip address?
I have a Squeezebox Radio I'm trying to setup in the hopsital for my girlfriend while she's in there. I goto, Settings>Advanced>Networking.. I connected to the hospitals wifi with no problems. Under Remote Libraries where I would normally put my IP address, it's not allowing me to use every number. The first octet set only allows me to use the characters, 1, 2, and 0. I can't enter any other number. I managed to get it connected to mysqueezebox.com and playing music that way but I'd like to connect to my servers IP.. Is there a bug? Is it setup for IPv6 or something? I'm so confused but either way it doesn't seem I'm able to put in my IP address.. Anyone have any ideas? I'm using LMS Version: 7.9.0 - 1475786002 kllngtme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30198 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106294 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
