C-3PO should not be installed by default. If it is then the creation of
the nonstandard LMS install package should be contacted. If you are
upgrading LMS and C3-PO was previously installed - it will be
reinstalled.

C-3PO is installed, although it appears to have been installed by
default. I installed the official Synology 7.9.2 package, and then
manually installed @pinkdots 8.0 package. the behavior is consistent w/
both.

should i uninstall c-3PO?

At first glance, something very wrong with the WAV.

For each Filetype there should beonly 4 entries
Native (i.e. AAC to AAC, WMA to WMA ) which can be OGG, AAC, WMA, AIFF

Then usually 3 transcode rules Flac, MP3 and PCM.

Your WAV entries mulitple ruiles for same type. This doesn't seem
right.

Have you installed any plugins that change the transcoding setup such
as C-3PO ?

Is this a clean LMS install or have you installed plugins or changed
settings ?

Any Filetype that is disabled.

As many Filetypes should be enabled - (i.e. Native or something like
faad/flac, lame/flac)

How did you install LMS ?
What package did you use ? Where did it come from ?

FLAC should be no problem on most devices. Binaries are also available
in the armada38x package for the DS216j. You might want to check the
file types in Server Settings -> Advanced -> File Types.
