assume. We will work on it guys and hope for the best.

Unfortunately, the scan was about 80x100 pixels -- a thumbnail at
best. Lloyd's going to try to get a higher-resolution scan and I'll give
it another go.

Converting to a CAD file tends to be more than just running it
through a raster-to-vector converter, though. It's going to take a
good bit of cleaning up before it's anything close to usable in a
CAD program, by which time it will not be a copy of the original
work, but an original product which uses the plan in the book as a
research source.

RE: Forney Plans

2000-03-03 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Lloyd,
You can download a free Autocad drawing viewer called WHIP at the
Autodesk.com site. Allows you to view and print DWG drawings.
If you email me the TIFF file, I can covert this to a JPEG or what ever so
you can see it. I have a number of programs that gives some flexibility in
TIFF.
You can also insert a TIFF file into a Microsoft Word document. Go to
Insert-File-Select file then size it to the paper. What word version do you
have?

Someone was looking for Forney plans the other day and I do not recall

which I would be happy to forward on. He also has a two volume set of Two

Now I have this Forney plan in a TIFF format and don't seem to be able
to
open it (the file) I am running Windows 95. Any Suggestions How I might
open the file?

Hello Lloyd and everyone,

I wasn't the one that was looking for the Forney plans originally, but I would
really like a copy of the file as well.
You mentioned that the file is in TIFF format. Another person in the group has
already replied with a source of appropriate viewers but I might be able to
convert the file to a different format (GIF, JPEG, PCX, etc.) that would be more
useful to your particular needs. If you want me to give it a try just send it to
me as an attachment to e-mail.

Later,
